Ruhaan: “I’ll go. I can do this.”

Tara: “Are you sure? We don’t know what’s down there.”

Ruhaan took a deep breath, feeling the weight of Tara’s concern.

Ruhaan: “I have to try. We need the Pearl of Reflection to earn the Water Warden’s trust. Besides, I won’t be alone. I know you’re with me, even if I’m in the water.”

He stepped toward the water’s edge, its surface shimmering like glass.

Water Warden: “Remember, the waters reflect your true self. Face your fears and regrets without hesitation, or you may become lost.”

Ruhaan nodded, steeling himself for the plunge. With one final glance at Tara, he dove into the lake, the cool water enveloping him like a shroud.

As he descended, the light from above faded, replaced by a dim, ethereal glow that illuminated the underwater realm. Schools of fish swirled around him, their bodies shimmering like liquid silver.

But as Ruhaan swam deeper, the atmosphere shifted. Shadows danced in the corners of his vision, pulling him toward memories he’d buried deep within.

Suddenly, he found himself in a dark, swirling vortex—a manifestation of his past regrets and fears. He saw visions of his childhood, moments of laughter quickly overshadowed by the trauma of losing his family to the darkness.

Young Ruhaan (echoing): “Why couldn’t I save them?”

The pain surged within him, but he forced himself to confront it.

Ruhaan: “I can’t let this consume me! I’m stronger now. I fight for those I love!”

Ruhaan: “I refuse to be defined by my past! I choose to rise!”
