I was cooking breakfast and packing lunch for Lily after being done with daily home workout and waking her up for school
Which is more harder than leg days , i prepared some coffee for me settling it down on table and waiting for the little mischief to appear complaining about how water is either too hot or cold and not warm enough
" I hate this , water was too cold today , it's never like I want it "
She came being dressed in full pink colour which is also my favourite " maybe you just don't know how to settle the temperature" I said having a sip of my coffee lingering in it's taste with closed eyes not being bothered by Lily 's pout " I know but that damn thing doesn't work" I glared in her direction reminding her about the mistake she just did " come on it's not even a bad word" she sat on her chair still pouting " rule is rule, Lily, you have to put a coin in the jar " I said taking another sip of coffee, she didn't said another word and started munching on her breakfast.
After dropping her off to school which was not that far I took a bus for university, looking out of window made me realise I was repeating my actions from every morning, it's been like this always, me getting ready, preparing breakfast and lunch , dropping lily to school then going for my classes and swimming practice, going to part time job, getting lily from mrs mills house who live near school, then dinner and sleep
It has been always like this but surprisingly I never got tired of it some times it does become frustrating raising a child alone but I don't take as a burden or responsibility, rather she is part of my life , I don't have anyone else to live for , she is my everything.
The bus stopped, university is at walking distance from bus stop as I reached there , I saw familiar car and some familiar figures standing near it , " hey , guys" I greeted walking towards them
" Hey , ni my man , finally you are here " roy strangled me with his hug referring to me as a man due to short length of my hair
" Come on , roy I still look girly enough with short hair " I said getting out his grip, shaking hands with others " yes, you do but he likes to call you that" becky said repeating Roy's act of strangling people to death
" Lily might like hugs but I am not a big fan of it " I said leaning against the car lying about my love for physical touch
It's embarrassing to admit when you want physical touch as love language but have a reputation to maintain " anyways, since nia is here , shall we leave for class?"
Harris said looking up from his phone screen
" Hey nia , can we come over at your place on Sunday?" Becky asked nudging me with her elbow while I settled my things on desk " why ?" I asked her as harris sat besides me " it's been really long since we spend some time with lily " she said giving me her puppy eyes" she is right, I miss her too " harris said with little smile, it's true they haven't met her after this session started
" Okay, fine by me " I said to them
Knowing that little devil would also be happy to have them around
I was late for my swimming class due to roy keeping us to show his drama club act which was not that bad as he is a good play writer but definitely not worth getting yelled by the coach
On the way swimming classroom I accidentally bumped to some one " oh sorry, I was los-" my words got stuck watching the face of person " watch your way " miss niallita black " sofiya said bumping her shoulder with mine as she walked away ," She's always like this don't mind her "
I heard someone say as I looked towards the owner of the voice
" Oh hey , tailor " I greeted one of my team mates tailor who is a really good friend of sofiya
" Let's get ready before coach comes " he said getting inside class as I followed him
But I can't help to think about how rude sofiya is towards me
It' s not like she is sweet with others but after our first meet and fight on that day , she has been giving me cold shoulder
I know it was my mistake to yell at her first but she was also yelling on top of her lungs and I was already pissed that day
I have tried to have a talk with her but with her glares it seems quite impossible and I just end up glaring and throwing insults back
