chapter 7: the sunset is beautiful isn't it?

"woah, the apartment is big" Taehyun feels excited after walking a few steps into the big apartment.

Beomgyu nodded approvingly as they keep walking for the apartment tour.

" what a pity, a big apartment with a single bedroom"

" do you think my dad would order a 3 room apartment for just us? "

"well you have a point "

" don't worry, if you wanna have the bed, I'll take the sofa.. "

"whatever, we're staying for 2 nights so we can switch later.. we'll see this night.. should we go have a walk first? "

" aren't you tired Taehyun? "

"are you tired? " the younger asking back to beomgyu.

" you know what.. since we rarely come here, let's go "

Taehyun smiles happily.. he seems excited for a Jeju tour.. Beomgyu with his experience in Jeju island lead the tour for Taehyun to experience it too.. The view, the breeze and of course, the tangerine.. Taehyun must experience all of it.

The couple is walking for hours.. as they've walking, they are also talking to know deeper about each other.. or you can say they are growing their bonds.. as time goes by, the sun is setting.. the couples take a rest to watch the sunset..

"the sunset is beautiful isn't it? " Taehyun asked.

"yeah.. it is- " beomgyu replied.

"just like you" he continues the sentence but Taehyun didn't hear that as he was mumbling to himself.

"let's go now.. let's go have a dinner and then go back to the apartment.. then we can have a rest"

beomgyu nodded. They get up and started walking to a restaurant nearby to have their dinner. soon they're finally back to the apartment..

Beomgyu is worn out, he quickly lie down on the sofa.. Taehyun is also worn out, but he lie down on the carpet that is covering the floor.

"beomgyu-ssi, do you have a girlfriend? "

"what's with the sudden question? "

" just wanna know "

" I don't.. do you? "

"me neither.. "

" sorry for everything that happen now "

"what do you mean? "

"if I didn't asked you to marry me, maybe you're here with the person you love now"

"let's not talk about that. let's just imagine that we're friends having a vacation right now.. we're going to divorced by the way.. that's why I want you to keep this a secret. it's better if other people don't know about us. since we'll be divorced in the end"

" but what if we actually fell in love? do you still wanna get a divorced? " beomgyu asked in curiosity.

" I thought we made a promise not to fall in love with each other "

" yeah.. I'm just saying what if..but you know what.. nevermind.. that's not gonna happen right.. "

' sorry taehyun, I think I've accidentally broke the promise ' beomgyu thought to himself.

Beomgyu has actually fallen in love with taehyun even before they got married. I guess it started when Taehyun accept his proposal to help him grant Mr. choi wish. that's the moment when he first fell in love. He admires the kindness of the younger who is willing to marry a stranger just because of a dying man wish.

At that moment, he didn't know it was love. But now, he has finally realized, he didn't really want to lose Taehyun. it's because he's fallen in love with him. what should he do now? he broke their promise even before they made the promise.. how should he protect their marriage?

Taehyun yawn as the nights become darker and there's barely any light source from outside. Beomgyu was lying on the sofa scrolling on TikTok while drinking some can of beers.

"do you want to sleep on the bed or sofa today? "

"I don't know.. you can choose"

"maybe you should take the bed tonight.. you seems tired today"

"or maybe we should sleep together on the bed? " beomgyu suggest.

"what- ? I- no nevermind.. I'll just take the sofa "

beomgyu gets up from the sofa and then taking small steps closing the distance between him and taehyun. He then grab the younger by his waist making the nose collide.

" why not? it's not like I can get you pregnant "

breath slapping the cheeks. the alcohol scent is too strong showing beomgyu drank several beers.

"woah woah hold up.. how much can did you drink beomgyu.. look, just take the bed tonight.. "

Taehyun hold beomgyu leading him to the bedroom. Beomgyu lie down on the bed as Taehyun help him to cover himself with the blanket.

As taehyun's about the leaves, beomgyu grab his wrist pulling taehyun to him. beomgyu lock the younger by wrapping his leg and arms around the boy and flip him in instant changing their position on the bed.

" woah beomgyu. you need to stop this. you aren't in the right mind. let me go beomgyu"

" as I said just now, it's not like I can get you pregnant"

" like I said too, you aren't in the right mind.. you're going to regret this later "

beomgyu smirks. it's true.. he's not a right mind.. the alcohol effect starts to take control of his mind for him to do something risky that would make them even more awkward. everything started to drive him insane. for some reason, he really want to dominate taehyun.
