The door squeaked open, then shut. Toru untied his shoes and tip toed silently to the living room. "Hey, we should do something about this door, it sounds like it's possessed." he reproached while bouncing back and forth on his feet, his brown hair ruffling in the air.
"Mmm, we'll do something about it." Iwa murmured as he twisted his torso, leaned his elbow on the back pillows of the couch and watched Toru come closer.
"Whatcha' doing? Can I see?" Toru bent over the couch to peek at the laptop screen. His face became shallow and he licked his lips. "Oooh."
"I've been giving it some thought." He leaned back and looked up at Toru, whose eyes were lost along the paragraphs written on the screen. "We're doing this together, right?"
After a few seconds of cricket silence, Toru blinked heavily and became present again. "Of course, you aren't getting rid of me any soon." he chuckled.
Their laughs crinkled in the living room like melodical bells finally announcing ease.
"Come, come, huddle up." Iwa waved his hand "Let's look at these together."
They browsed through charming houses, some of the rustic sort - with rooves of cold stone and warm lights perched on wooden walls, tiny windows and large gardens; some modern and luxurious; some crowded and full of life, in big cities.
Running away was, and probably is all in all, the easiest method one could gestion a dilemma. Even just for the picture - a land not stepped before together, a place not polluted by past problems. It was a way of reset, of fluttering the white flag and giving in peace.
A few weeks passed, so quickly it felt like the days were rushed in a constant fire, everything hot and misty; the nights fleeing like a summer storm. Even the birds seemed like they were flying faster than usual and the clock was ticking at a furious pace.
The apartment had been torn outside down - boxes and bubbly foil strewn across the floor, clothes and papers spread like there had blown a sturdy gust of wind inside and messed everything up.
"Can you get me the fragile tape?" yelled Toru, who sat on his knees, attentively wrapping up a ceramic vase.
Iwa ran across the room and gave him the tape, with an energetic smile that folded till' the corners of his lips. "This is the last one. Everything's packed."
Toru cheerfully jumped out of his place and ecstatically laughed: "WOOO! WE'RE GETTING OUT OF HERE!" His laugh was followed by another, Iwaizumi grabbing him from behind by the waist and picking him up.
A week later, still under the influence of time passing by fast like a storm, their trollers rolled on the smooth foor leading to the check in line, crowded by hundreds of people.
After an insufferable waste of time at the long queue at the check in, the two strolled through the airport. "Where's terminal 6?" asked Toru, holding onto Iwa's arm.
Iwa skimmed through the signs in range. He pointed towards his right. "There, what does it say, it says 6, right?"
"I can't see that far." he chuckled.
They arrived at the terminal, surrounded by dozens of languages that they barely understood their own. Most of the people spoke Spanish, and Toru engaged in listening to what they said.
"Spanish is such a fun language, it sounds like a song." he bumped Iwa's chest "You'll love to learn it."
Throughout the chamber, a robotic voice rung. "Terminal 6 is now open for embarquement."
The plane left Japan, flying over stranger, distant territory. After 20 exhausting, draining hours, the plane started to land.
Outside the airport, the sun beamed strongly on the harsh pavement. A row of Spanish flags fluttered in a hot gust of wind between the palm trees aligned on the street.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3333333333333333
It took me SO LONG to write this. I started writing this in July. JULY. It's almost the end of October. Even though writing is one of my biggest passions, I can't always make time for it and sadly, I've been really busy lately. School and all that stuff. I know the ending is a bit rushed, but I'm going on a school trip tomorrow and I really wanted to finish this, knowing that if I wouldn't post a chapter today, it'll be another 3 weeks without a new chapter and I didn't want that.
I'll add more details when I have the time, cause this chapter is really, really short.
If you liked this fanfic, stay tuned because I'm re-writing my other fanfic, OUTCAST (a satosugu fic) and after that an itafushi fanfic that will be like a part 2 of outcast.
Also, maybe I'll write a kagehina or sakuatsu fic after these if I have time!!
