Sirius Black cackled with glee as another spell whizzed past her head, taking away whisps of her black hair. The responding laugh only made her feel even more excited. When was the last time she had truly been able to let loose like this?

Not since the war that's for sure.

While she had to hold back when sparring with the other Order members only a few were able to match her vigor. The list consisted of only Lily, James, and Remus. But nobody could ever match her when she went over her limits unless they were of her blood and a part of her unfortunate family.

Oh, how she missed times like this as she used every instinct that was bred in her body from her nature and nurturing. "Just like old times, eh Trixie!"  A crucio came her way in response and she turned the same magic back at her cousin.

Now while she was preoccupied with dueling with her cousin—who was once a reigning dueling champion before her subsequent fall from grace—her attention was also held elsewhere.

She had to make sure Harry was safe. He was her priority when it came to everything else that did not concern her family. Sirius sucked in a breath as she saw Malfoy try to corner Harry and the little Longbottom before Remus, her beloved husband, barreled into the pompous man like a bullet.

However, relief was brief as Bellatrix, ever the observant, caught that she was distracted and sent another spell at her. She ducked under the red light—a stupify, feeling glee once again due to adrenaline. Bellatric assorting to nonlethal spells was hilarious to her.

Sirius let out another laugh and yelled, "Come on, you can do better than that!" Her voice carried across the cavernous room. She went to glance at Harry again, only to be stopped by another stupify to the chest.

And while she only stumbled back, something else seemed to latch onto her entire form. It felt different from the stupify or any other spell she was familiar with that could mess with the mobility of another person. Her movements were too slow and when she looked up and saw the forboding arch of the Veil of Death she understood.

Looking back ahead of her she saw and heard Bellatrix cackle with triumph, but a closer look revealed the terror in her eyes at her cousin's fate. Her eyes moved to her family wanting them to be the last thing on her mind before she died.

Remus was holding Harry as he looked at her with so much sorrow and grief, once again having to watch as she was lost to him again. And Harry, her baby boy, Lily and James' baby boy, were struggling in her husband's arms screaming.
