Nicholas or how other's call him Nik is the younger brother of none other than Steve Rogers, Nik was everything Steve was not..... athletic, charming, tall and unlike his older brother he was healthy...... he grew into a strong, handsome, tall boy. To some they looked like the perfect family their father Joseph was a WWI Veteran, and their mother was the perfect housewife in other's eyes, but still it the hardship of finding work Joseph turned to the bottle and turned his anger towards his wife and two sons.
When Steve was enlisted into the army it was also the time Nik got his letter and had to enlist because of the war. They were both sent to camp Rebirth, where one thrived and the other......... was the laughingstock, someone many said shouldn't belong there. And whereas Steve laying on a grenade earned him a spot to become tested for the Super Soldier Serum. Nik earned his by standing up for those weaker than him, helping those who needed help like his older brother Steve and pulling his older brother off of the grenade and kicking it away.
And so, the Roger brothers became the first super soldiers, and where Steve was used as a tool for propaganda Nik was sent out to fight in Europe. With his group of Howling Wolves, he made his way through the Nazi lines in hopes to bring an end to the war. Nik made a name for himself; he was the youngest Colonel the army had ever seen a title he got at the age of 19.
After his brother and him together freed a bunch of prisoners from Hydra including their friend Bucky it became their mission to take down Hydra and where both sent to take down their half of the bases.
On 31 December of 1944 the Howling Wolves were slaughtered in an ambush and days later Steve got the news that his brother was lost...... that he died in battle. He lost his brother and not long after that he lost his friend, before he had to make a choice himself to either have the bomb fly to the United States or to go down with it.
And so, both Roger brothers where lost, they searched for them.... Howard didn't want to give up, but with time he knew that the chance of them being alive.... of them being still here was almost impossible.
In 2012 Steve was found again and revived, since that day he's been making the world better... fighting for those who need to be fought for, to save the world from those who wish to harm it......... and yet he never stopped going to the Museum... not for him, the stories they tell about his time with the Howling Commandos but to hear about his younger brother.... to see pictures off him........ and to have his guilt fill his body that the person who saved him so many times..... his younger brother the one he was supposed to protect and safe.... he wasn't able to safe him.
What happened to Nik? Was his body ever found? Is there a chance he's still around...... with no memories? Locked away and used as a weapon like the Winter Soldier was? Bucky was a ghost..... something almost none knew anything about but beside the Winter Soldier... Natasha and Bucky know there's another... one more deadly, more dangerous and most of all more calculated. The name? All they know is that he's called Apex, because he hides and watches and when the time is right.... you can run but he's going to hunt you down like it's a sport to him..... no one has ever lived when Apex comes for them.
