The early streets of Mufasta were bustling with cars heading to work, the cold Spring air carried the scent of baked goods from bakeries nearby. A little boy wandered the streets alone and isolated and cold.
Shinso Hitoshi was a 9yo boy, who had been taken by child services after his father was convicted of domestic abuse and his mother ill fit to take care of him. He had been tossed around from foster home to foster home, each one sending him back as soon as they saw him.
He knew he wasn't pleasant to look at his purple hair straw like going up to his shoulders in need of a cut, his eyes covered with eye bags making him look sick, or the way his body was thin as sticks to the point you saw his bones.
Or perhaps it was his quirk. He knew it freaked people out, knowing he could control there very movements and lives if he wished."Excuse me ma'am?" He looked up with his big purple eyes at a cashier a women in her mid 30s.
"Yes sweetheart?"
"Do you know a place I could get some water from" he asked his voice scratchy from dehydration. Perhaps the women would take pity on his state and let him take some.
"I'm sorry dear... We can't give u water for free. Perhaps if ur parents are around?""Never mind" Hitoshi quietly left the shop, exhausted and hungry, he'd been on his own for weeks now. He had ran away from his last foster home planning on creating a better life for himself. How foolish of him. Now he had no clothes, food or water. Perhaps living in the old storage closet wasn't that bad, perhaps he should go back... Those were thoughts that rested in the back of his mind constantly playing off and on.
He had been able to find an empty alleyway by a apartment complex where he had made himself comfy on a piece of cardboard.

Maybe it was the sound of a femine scream? Or perhaps the sound of a bloody mess? Or maybe the voices of two heroes? All he knew was what he saw wasn't meant to be seen and that he should run as fast as he could. But for some reason he was stuck. He wanted to shout for the two heroes,he was certain they'd help, but for some reason he didn't...maybe it was the fear of being sent back to foster care? Or the fear he had for the man holding a knife to his throat.
Before he could even react to what was going on-
"Goodnight kid... "
