As I made my way to class, I turned a corner and unexpectedly bumped into someone. It was a boy. For a moment, I looked at him, studying his features. His expression was unreadable. There was something off about him, but I couldn't place it. Without saying a word, I left him and continued on my way to class.

As I walked, a thought struck me—he didn't smell like a human. His scent was different, almost... otherworldly. This puzzled me, and I couldn't shake the feeling of confusion. My mind raced with possibilities, but none of them made sense.

Later that day, during lunch, I noticed him again. He was sitting next to Bella, the new girl. My eyes were drawn to them, and I found myself staring. Bella was an enigma herself, with her mind being a blank slate to me, but now there was this boy who didn't smell human. The combination of these mysteries gnawed at me, and I knew I had to find out more about him.

I watched as Bella laughed at something he said, her eyes lighting up with amusement. The boy's presence seemed to put her at ease, which only added to my curiosity.

As the lunch period dragged on, I couldn't tear my eyes away from them. My siblings noticed my distraction, but I brushed off their questions. I needed to figure this out on my own. The boy's scent and the fact that I couldn't read either of their minds—it was all too much to ignore.

When the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, I made a decision. I would keep a close eye on this boy and Bella. There was something going on, and I was determined to uncover the truth. As I stood up to leave, I glanced back at them one last time. The boy caught my eye, and for a brief moment, our gazes locked. There was a knowing look in his eyes, as if he was aware of my scrutiny.

I turned away, my mind racing with questions. Who was this boy? And what was his connection to Bella? I had a feeling that finding the answers would be far from simple. But I was ready for the challenge. After all, I had all the time in the world.

It had been two days since I first encountered the mysterious boy, and I still couldn't get him out of my mind. His scent, or rather, the lack of it, was something I couldn't ignore. Today, I decided to bring it up with my siblings.

"Hey, have any of you noticed the guy on the table over there?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

They all turned to look at the boy I was talking about. Emmett, always the observant one despite his playful nature, spoke up first.

"Oh, you mean Ishkhan? Yeah, he's new," Emmett said with a grin.

"Do you know anything about him?" I pressed, trying to keep my tone even.

Emmett shrugged, "Not much, just that he's new. Why, what's up?"

"Does he smell... different to you?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Emmett's face scrunched up in thought, then he shook his head. "Nope, he doesn't smell like anything?"

"Think harder, Emmett," I urged, hoping he might have missed something.

But Emmett just shook his head again. "Sorry, Edward, but it's the same answer. The guy doesn't have a smell."

I sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and intrigue. "That's the thing," I said softly, more to myself than to Emmett. "He's not like us, but he's not like them either. I need to figure out what he is."

Emmett clapped me on the back, his usual good-natured self shining through. "Well, good luck with that, Sherlock. Let me know if you need any help."

I ignored Emmett's comment and looked back at Ishkhan, who continued to talk to Bella.
