Scene begins:

It was 8:30 in the morning, and Dua Lipa and Y/N were running on their second cup of coffee, prepping for their virtual interview with Good Morning America. The living room had been turned into a makeshift studio, with a laptop set up on the coffee table and good lighting adjusted just right. But amidst the calm exterior of the set-up, chaos was brewing—River, their two-year-old, was in a particularly “energetic” mood.

Y/N looked over at Dua with wide eyes. "We should’ve done this interview at a café or something. He’s going to blow the place up."

Dua chuckled, adjusting her earpiece. "We’ve got this. What’s the worst that could happen?"

As if on cue, River came charging into the living room, wearing nothing but a superhero cape and his underwear, holding a plastic sword in the air. "I’m Batman!" he yelled, throwing himself dramatically onto the couch between Dua and Y/N.

Y/N groaned, trying to pull him off. "River, sweetheart, can we please save Gotham after the interview?"

Dua tried to stifle a laugh but failed, shaking her head as River wriggled out of Y/N’s grip and ran in circles around the room. "We’re doomed," Y/N muttered under her breath.

The producer’s voice crackled through the earpiece. "Okay, Dua and Y/N, we’re going live in five... four... three..."

Dua put on her best professional smile, leaning toward the camera, while Y/N did her best to hold River in her lap, keeping him as still as possible. "Good morning!" Dua greeted with a bright smile as the show’s host appeared on the screen.

"Good morning, Dua! Y/N! Thank you for joining us. We hear you’re coming to us live from home today."

"Yes, we are!" Y/N replied, tightening her grip on River, who was squirming. "And, uh, it’s... lively here."

River suddenly wriggled free and bolted off the couch again. This time, he made a beeline for the camera, his little face taking up the entire screen as he peered directly into the lens. "Hi! I'm Batman!" he yelled, his voice echoing through the speakers.

The host burst out laughing. "Oh my gosh, it looks like you’ve got a superhero on your hands!"

Dua, barely keeping it together, laughed. "Yeah, we do. Every. Single. Day."

Y/N sighed dramatically. "You should see him after his nap. Full-on Avengers mode."

River, clearly feeling like the star of the show, dashed off-screen, only to return moments later holding a box of cereal over his head like a trophy. "I’m hungry!"

Dua covered her face with her hands. "Of course he is."

Y/N reached out, gently tugging the cereal box away from him. "Honey, Mommy and Mama are doing an interview right now. Can you wait a few minutes?"

River shook his head with all the defiance a two-year-old could muster. "Nope!"

As if it couldn’t get any worse, River started climbing onto the couch, his little feet bouncing on the cushions as he tried to balance the cereal box on his head. Dua shot Y/N a helpless look as the host laughed hysterically from the studio.

"So, Dua," the host said between giggles, "this is quite the home life you’ve got going. How do you and Y/N manage all this chaos while balancing your careers?"

"Oh, you know," Dua said, trying to regain some semblance of composure. "A lot of coffee, a lot of patience, and—"

"POOP!" River suddenly yelled from behind them, standing on the couch with his hands on his hips, looking very proud of himself.

Y/N turned bright red, her eyes widening in horror. "River!" she scolded, trying to scoop him off the couch.

The host was practically in tears laughing. "I guess we can add a lot of surprises to the list too!"

Dua, shaking her head but still laughing, added, "Surprises, interruptions, and—River, put that down!" she exclaimed as he attempted to throw a cushion across the room.

Y/N finally managed to pull him off the couch, setting him down on the floor, where he immediately ran to his toy bin, pulling out a firetruck this time. "BRRROOOM! I'm driving to the moon!" he shouted, pushing it around with all the sound effects he could muster.

"Yeah," Y/N said dryly, giving the camera a deadpan look. "It’s like this all the time."

"Honestly, I love it," the host said, still smiling. "You two are handling it like pros."

Just as Dua was about to respond, River came back over, climbing onto her lap, this time pulling her earpiece out. "Mommy, I want juice," he demanded, as if he hadn't already caused enough disruption.

Y/N, trying not to lose it, turned to the camera. "Well, this interview is definitely going to win some kind of parenting award, right?"

Dua, still half-laughing, nodded. "Absolutely. ‘Most Interrupted Virtual Interview of the Year.’"

Y/N leaned down, holding River’s tiny hand. "Can we finish this up first, River? We’ll get you some juice in a second."

River pouted. "But I want it NOW!"

The host grinned, clearly enjoying the family dynamic. "Well, it looks like we’re about out of time. Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us, even with... all the excitement. You’re both doing an amazing job."

Dua and Y/N shared a look—one part amused, one part exhausted. "Thank you so much for having us," Dua said sweetly, holding back a laugh as River started doing somersaults in the background.

The host waved goodbye, still laughing. "Good luck with the rest of your day! Looks like you’ll need it."

As the camera cut off and the interview finally ended, Dua let out a long sigh of relief, falling back into the couch cushions. "Well, that went great," she said sarcastically.

Y/N rubbed her temples. "Great? That was like a good morning disaster."

River, now climbing onto Y/N’s lap, tugged at her shirt. "Juice now?"

Y/N glanced at Dua with a smirk. "Your son, your problem."

Dua laughed, standing up to get the juice. "Fair enough. But hey, at least we gave them a show, right?"

Y/N chuckled, pulling River close and kissing his forehead. "Yeah. A real showstopper."

River, now content with the promise of juice, snuggled into Y/N’s arms, completely unaware of the chaos he had just unleashed. And as much as they pretended to be exhausted, neither Dua nor Y/N could stop smiling.
