Mikha's POV
"Tangina ayaw ko na mag-aral!" My cousin, Charlotte said for the nth time. We're here at my condo together with my 2 stupid friends. We're preparing for tomorrow's exam, last two subjects na namin samantalang si Ate Charlotte, pa-start palang bukas.
"Said by the girl who enrolled again only to see her long time crush. Magdusa ka diyan. Ang lala mo na!" I smirked while casually browsing at my books.
"Makikita mo lang siya for 2 semesters, ano bang pumasok sa isip mo at nag enroll ng Masters, ate? 2 years pa naman 'yan." Gwen butted in.
"I don't know. Ito lang naisip kong paraan para makita siya eh." She replied and hide her face dahil namumula na ito. Paano ba naman, habang nagrereview ay tumatagay din siya.
Charlotte took a deep breath, her eyes filled with a dreamy look. "Remember when I first met Nesa?" she asked.
I nodded. "Of course. It was at that bar in Thailand. Year 2022, right?"
Charlotte smiled. "I was so shy back then. I hardly spoke to anyone. But Nesa was different. She was friendly and outgoing. She approached me and started talking to me, and I felt like I had known her forever. I remember, I almost had a fight that night because some strangers were asking for my socials. She came and rescued me. She told me not to pick up a fight."
When I heard my cousin said that, I suddenly thought about a certain person. She was the one who approached me first too when I needed someone. She helped me with my bruises. It was a heavy night pero pakiramdam ko that time, parang pinagaan niya ang loob ko.
That's how I met Aiah too.
Charlotte laughed. "You see, it's always the brave ones who make the first move."
Colet nodded. "True. Torpe mo pa naman."
"Gago! Anyway," Charlotte continued, "I quickly developed a crush on Nesa. She was everything I had ever wanted in a friend. She was smart and funny. I always watch her tiktok live pero hindi niya na yata ako kilala after that night eh."
