As Rafe and I got ready to head out for the evening, I couldn't help but to think about the conversation I had with Sofia yesterday. I turned to Rafe, who was busy splashing on his cologne in front of the mirror in our bedroom.

"Hey, I didn't get a chance to mention this to you earlier," I said, my eyes fixed on his reflection. "Sofia thinks it's a bad idea to sign the business deal with Hollis."

Rafe's eyes met mine in the mirror, "Why does she think that?" he asked as he continued to get ready.

I shrugged, not really knowing the answer. "I don't know, she just doesn't think it's right, but I didn't really get a chance to press her for more details."

Rafe's expression changed, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Well, it's too late now. I already signed the deal," he said.

I turned to face him fully. "You did?" I asked, my attention drawn away from the mirror.

Rafe nodded, "Yes, I did. I think it's a great opportunity for us, and I'm sure it will pay off in the long run."

I raised an eyebrow, my doubts evident on my face. "Well, let's hope you made the right decision."

Rafe smiled, "I'm sure I did," he said, putting the finishing touches on his outfit, a green sweater with khaki pants.

I nodded, deciding to trust his judgment. After all, he was the business expert, not me. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of Sofia's concerns had planted in my mind.

As we finished getting ready, Rafe handed me my purse and we headed out the door. We strolled out of the house, and decided to stop by a boutique.

"Welcome to Belladonna's," a sales associate said, her smile as bright as the diamonds on display in front of us. "How may I assist you tonight?"

Rafe smiled, dismissing her, "We're just browsing, thank you."

The associate nodded and backed away, allowing us to take in the array of clothing on display. My eyes wandered, and then, I saw it – an olive green gown that looked like a work of art, with beautiful sparkles and a flowing skirt that would hug my curves in all the right places.

"Rafe, look," I whispered, tugging on his arm. "That one. I have to try it on."

His eyes followed mine, and landed on the dress, "You'd look stunning in that. Green is your color it makes your eyes pop."

The associate reappeared, as if summoned by Rafes voice. "May I get that for you, ma'am? I think it would be perfect for you."

I nodded, and she led me to a spacious dressing room, the dress draped carefully over her arm. As she helped me into the garment.

I twirled in front of the mirror, seeing how perfectly it fit my curves. Rafe, leaned against a nearby rack, sipping on a champagne glass provided by the sales associate. "Mmm, you look stunning, Scarlett," He murmured.

My cheeks flushed as I bit my lip, "Thanks, I think," I said, tugging at the hem of the dress. "But it's a bit pricey, don't you think?"

Rafe chuckled, setting his glass down on a nearby pedestal. "You're worth every penny," he said, sauntering over to me. He twirled me around, examining the back of the dress. "Besides, I think the designer would be thrilled to know you're considering this piece. You're doing the woman a favor just by trying it on."

I rolled my eyes, laughing as Rafe planted a kiss on the back of my neck. The sales associate excused herself, leaving us alone in the boutique.

As we browsed the racks, Rafe began to pick out outfits, holding them up against my body and making silly comments about how I'd look in each one. I giggled as Rafe made me try on silly hats and striking poses in front of the mirror.
