The new club was buzzing with energy, lights flashing to the beat of the music as the Avengers made their way into the VIP section reserved just for them. Everyone looked incredible, dressed up and ready to let loose after the tense few weeks they'd had. Drinks were flowing, and laughter filled the air as they settled in.(Lia's outfit )
Steve, Nat, Vision and Wanda were already on the dance floor, the pairs moving together with ease, while the rest of the group hung out in the booth. Lia sat close to Bucky, their shoulders brushing as they chatted and flirted. "So, are you going to ask me to dance?" Lia teased, taking a sip of her drink. "Or should I go find Sam instead?" Bucky immediately reached for her hand, standing up. "You're not dancing with Sam." She grinned, letting him pull her up. "Well, what are you waiting for?"
They made their way to the dance floor, the music pulsing around them. Once they started dancing, it felt natural. They moved in sync, their bodies close, the chemistry between them undeniable. It was as if the rest of the room disappeared, and it was just the two of them. In the heat of the moment, Bucky leaned in and kissed her, hungry and passionately. Lia kissed him back the same, her fingers through his hair, and then brushing his jaw just before she pulled away with a smile. "I'm gonna grab us another drink," she said softly. "I'll meet you back at the booth."
Bucky nodded, watching her weave through the crowd toward the bar. He returned to the booth where Sam, Clint, and Tony were lounging. Sam raised an eyebrow, smirking. "So... that was some kiss, huh?" Bucky shot him a look but couldn't help the small smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah, what about it?" Sam leaned back, crossing his arms. "Just saying... finally! Took you two long enough." Bucky didn't respond, his eyes drifting toward the bar, where Lia was waiting for their drinks. His smile quickly faded when he noticed some guy chatting her up, leaning in a little too close. Bucky's jaw tightened, jealousy flashing in his eyes. Sam chuckled, nudging Clint. "Oh, look. Bucky's got that look. Some guy's trying to steal his girl."
Bucky didn't hesitate. He got up from the booth, ignoring Sam's teasing. "I'm gonna handle this." He walked over to Lia, his steps quick, a clear warning in his expression. As he approached, the guy glanced over at him, then back at Lia. "Is this your boyfriend?" the guy asked, motioning toward Bucky. Before Lia could respond, Bucky stepped in. "Yeah, I am." The guy raised his hands in surrender, backing off. "Alright, no problem. Nice meeting you, though," he said, before walking away.
Lia turned to Bucky with an amused smile, leaning on the bar. "Boyfriend, huh?" Bucky looked a little sheepish. "I—uh—I didn't mean to overstep. Just didn't want you uncomfortable." She smiled, stepping closer to him, her voice soft but teasing. "Hmm, overprotective and possessive. I like it." Bucky rolled his eyes with a grin. "Let's get out of here for a minute," he suggested, offering her his hand. "Fresh air?" Lia took his hand, intertwining her fingers with his. "Lead the way, Sergeant."
They slipped outside into the cool night air, the thumping of the club's music fading as they found a quiet alley nearby. The streetlights cast a warm glow over them as they leaned against the wall, taking a moment to breathe. "You know," Lia said, turning to face him, "for someone who's been so patient, you really stepped it up tonight." Bucky chuckled, looking down at her. "Guess I just didn't want to miss my chance this time." Lia studied his face for a moment, her expression softening. "You're not going to."
Without waiting for a response, she leaned in and kissed him again. This kiss was slower, more meaningful, and Bucky wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer. The world around them faded, and for that moment, it was just them—finally able to be together without the past standing in the way. When they pulled back, Bucky rested his forehead against hers, breathing her in. "You sure you're ready for this?" he asked quietly. Lia smiled, her hands still resting on his chest. "I've been ready for a while."
They shared another kiss before Bucky pulled away with a grin. "We should probably get back inside before Sam sends a search party." Lia laughed, grabbing his hand again. "Let's go before he starts making bets."
They walked back toward the club, hand in hand, knowing that things between them had just shifted for the better.
