Chapter 6: A Day Out and Dealing with Jealousy

It was Naruto's last day off before he had to return to work, and he had made plans to take Ino out, knowing that it would be good for her to get some fresh air and spend time together outside of the apartment. The past week had been full of emotional moments—opening up about their pasts, taking care of each other, and growing closer in ways neither of them had expected. Naruto felt the bond between them deepen, but he also knew that Ino still struggled with her social phobia.

That morning, Naruto had woken up with a sense of excitement. He dressed carefully, pulling on a black shirt that hugged his slim, muscular frame and paired it with white pants, an outfit he knew looked sharp. After everything they'd been through, he wanted to make this day special for Ino. He glanced at himself in the mirror, adjusting his collar, and smiled. *This should do the trick.*

Meanwhile, Ino was in her room, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. She had been looking forward to spending the day with Naruto, but the thought of going out into the crowded village made her stomach churn. Her social phobia was something she still struggled with. While she felt safe around Naruto, the idea of being surrounded by strangers made her heart race.

She took a deep breath, looking at her reflection in the mirror. She had chosen a simple, yet flattering outfit—a light purple dress that complemented her long blonde hair. But no matter how nice she looked, she couldn't shake the anxiety that was bubbling up inside her.

It'll be okay* she told herself, trying to calm her nerves. *Naruto-kun will be with me. He always makes me feel safe.*

Gathering her courage, Ino stepped out of her room and found Naruto waiting for her in the living room. The moment she saw him, her heart skipped a beat. He looked so handsome in his black shirt and white pants, his blond hair catching the light just right. For a moment, her anxiety faded, replaced by a sense of warmth and comfort.

Naruto looked up and smiled brightly when he saw her. "You look beautiful, Ino-chan," he said, his eyes full of affection.

Ino blushed, her heart fluttering at the compliment. "T-Thank you, Naruto-kun," she stammered, feeling shy but happy.

Naruto walked over to her and held out his hand. "Ready to go?" he asked, his smile gentle and reassuring.

Ino hesitated for a moment, her anxiety creeping back as she thought about the crowds they would face outside. But the warmth of Naruto's hand and the safety she felt with him gave her the strength to nod. "Yes," she whispered, taking his hand.

With that, the two of them left the apartment and stepped out into the village. The streets were bustling with people, and the sounds of chatter and laughter filled the air. Ino immediately felt her heart rate pick up as they walked through the crowded marketplace. Her grip on Naruto's hand tightened, her body tensing as she tried to keep herself from panicking.

Naruto, sensing her discomfort, glanced at her and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm right here, Ino-chan," he said softly. "You don't have to worry about anything. I won't let anyone bother you."

Ino nodded, but she stayed close to him, her grip on his arm tightening as they continued walking. Naruto's presence was the only thing keeping her from completely shutting down. With him by her side, she felt like she could handle anything—well, almost anything.

As they walked, they passed by a group of girls who were standing by a shop, chatting and laughing together. Naruto didn't think much of it as they passed, but Ino noticed right away that the girls had spotted him. One of them, a brunette with bright eyes, whispered something to her friends, and they all giggled, their gazes clearly fixed on Naruto.
