~how thoughtful!~
Og!Cale felt a surge of anger and disgust rise within him as he contemplated the disgrace of an uncle who could abandon his own flesh and blood. How could anyone leave a child behind, especially one so young? He felt a pang of pity for the infant, recognizing the reflection of his own features in the baby's face. But this child's fate was far worse-his father had forsaken him when he was barely a few months old. The memory of his own father, Deruth, flickered in his mind, bringing a bittersweet sense of familiarity.Meanwhile, Cale-now Ciel-squirmed in his arms, frowning deeply, annoyance evident on his tiny face. 'I didn't sign up for this shit!' he thought, frustration boiling within him.
As he continued to wriggle, Cale furrowed his brows in irritation, tossing the note onto the bed with a flick of his wrist. He cradled Ciel gently in both arms, the warmth of the child softening his annoyance.
"Welcome to the world... Ciel Thames, I guess," he whispered softly, unable to resist the urge to coo at the adorable little being before him. The child's features, though marked by despair, were undeniably charming, tugging at Cale's heartstrings.
Ciel blinked, processing his surroundings, and thought to himself, 'Wasn't Cale Henituse just a lout? Oh right, he started drinking and spiraling after age fifteen. Well, I'd better charm this guy; I wouldn't want to end up like the money thief who left me here...'
With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Ciel squirmed again, this time attempting to draw Cale's attention. He instinctively knew that to survive in this new world, he'd need to find a way to win over the very person who had unwittingly become his protector.
Ciel wiggled his arms with all his might, frustration creeping into his thoughts. Ugh, this is harder than I thought! This baby body has zero power to lift my hands! This is no better than child labor!
Cale blinked in surprise, his eyes widening as he took in the adorable struggle. A soft smile crept onto his face as he instinctively reached out, allowing Ciel to grab his finger with surprising strength. When the baby grinned brightly, Cale felt a rush of warmth. Ha! Gotcha! You're now gonna be my first victim!
Cale's heart swelled at the sight. Aw, how cute! But wait... how will I explain this to my family? His mind raced, contemplating the implications. Well, I suppose I should just tell the truth. If anyone has a problem with it, I can use my persona to handle the situation.
As Cale pondered the best approach, he looked down at the infant in his arms, whose bright eyes sparkled with mischief and curiosity. There was a sense of unexpected responsibility settling upon him, mingling with the joy of this newfound connection. It was clear that Ciel was not just a helpless child but a partner in this strange new chapter of life, and Cale was determined to navigate it together, no matter the challenges ahead.
'When was the last time..I felt this warmth and happiness..?'
Ciel strategized to make Cale his unwitting victim, planning to charm him with cuteness. Just then, Ron walked in, and Ciel's little eyes widened in awe. 'Wow... Ron really looks young...'
Cale, taken aback but quickly masking his surprise with a scowl, snapped, "Ron, doors are meant to be knocked on, not barged through!" His words were sharper than intended, a result of not yet having settled on how to handle this peculiar situation.
