I slowly moved my foot forward, each step feeling heavier than the last. The silence around me was almost deafening, the only sound being the soft rustle of leaves in the faint evening breeze. The pain in my head throbbed persistently, a reminder of the endless hours spent in morning class, staring at the board.

After a day like this, all I could dream of was my perfect escape, a novel in one hand, a cup of chai in the other, and the comforting presence of my partner, Mr. Cuddles, my beloved giraffe soft toy. The thought of sinking into my soft mattress, with the world fading away, felt like a little slice of heaven. Just a moment of peace, wrapped in warmth and quiet, far from the chaos of the day.

Suddenly, my sleepy eyes snapped open as a sharp jolt hit my back, nearly sending me tumbling forward. I wobbled, barely managing to regain my balance as my feet pressed hard into the ground to steady me. Rubbing the sore spot on my back, I spun around quickly.

There stood Zoya, grinning from ear to ear, clearly pleased with herself. Behind her, Ananya was rushing toward us, barely able to contain her laughter. I shot Zoya a death glare, still rubbing my back, trying to ease the pain.

"You scared me," I muttered, pointing to my back. "It's still hurting." I watched Zoya and Ananya struggling to hold back their laughter.

Zoya quickly tried to apologise, her grin still plastered across her face. "I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, adding with a playful smirk, "I'll buy you any street food you want."

The second those words left her mouth, my back pain magically disappeared. My eyes lit up, and all I could think about was food, my ultimate weakness.

"But..." Zoya paused, her playful grin turning mischievous. My smile dropped instantly, and my brows furrowed in confusion. "You have to spill the tea first," she said, crossing her arms, one eyebrow raised.

I glanced over at Ananya, who was smirking knowingly. My confusion only deepened.

"Which tea?" I asked slowly, still trying to piece together what they meant.

Ananya cleared her throat dramatically, pulling my attention to her. "Yesterday's," she replied, her smirk widening.

Before I could fully comprehend what was happening, both of them pulled me along, their grips firm, Ananya on one side and Zoya on the other.

"Where are we going?" I asked, glancing from Zoya to Ananya, but they remained silent, their focus on the road ahead. I had no control over my legs, wherever they led me, I followed.

Soon, I realised we had left the university grounds and taken a right, heading towards the park nearby. They finally halted, their eyes scanning the area as if on a mission.

"There," Ananya said, spotting an empty bench and tugging me toward it again.

They carefully guided me to the bench, almost like they were placing something fragile and then stood before me, smirking in unison. I tilted my head up, trying to make sense of their odd behaviour.
