Chapter 15 - WHAT 😱

Shay's POV
*couple days later*
It is the day of JJ's appointment and I am very nervous right now. The one week I don't have my acrylics and I chew my nails to the bone.

*FaceTime call from JIGS group chat*

All~ "Hey"

JJ~ "The appointment is today" he said.

Zak~ " If you are the dad just know we are here for you" he said.

JJ~ " Thanks"

Gabi~ "Let's just cross our fingers and hope he is not though"

JJ~ "Yeah"

JJ~" Okay I gotta go" he added.

All~ "okay, bye"

*call ended*

I didn't know what to say during that call. I was thinking about things, but words were just not coming out.

*incoming call* JJ

*answers*

JJ~ "Hey, i'm really nervous today" he said

Me~ "I'm nervous for you" I said.

JJ~ "You didn't really say anything on the phone"

Me~ "yeah, i'm sorry I didn't know what to say"

JJ~ "It's okay I know you are really nervous, because if it is my child it causes some inconvenience in the relationship we are trying to have" he said.

Me~ "yeah, I don't want it to"

JJ~ "Me neither, all we can do is hope"

Me~ "Call me when you find out or if your too nervous and need a break"

JJ~ "okay, bye"

Me~ "bye"

*Hangs Up*

I really hope it is not his.

*Couple hours later*

JJ texted the group chat for us to meet him at the mall food court in about an hour.

I took a quick shower and got dressed.

Me~ " Hey Monte can I please take your car i'll bring it back in one piece" I said.

Monte~ "No"

Me~ "Monte please I need it"

Monte~ "For what?"

Me~ "To go meet JIGS to talk"

Monte~ "Ask one of them for a ride"

Me~ "Monte please, last time Im going to be asking please"

Monte~ "Fine here" he said handing me his keys.

Me~ "Thank you" I said grabbing his keys

I put on my shoes and left out of the door.

I made it to the mall I surprisingly saw Zak's car and parked next to him. Gabi pulled up two minutes later. Zak, Gabi, and I walked in to the mall and headed towards the food court.

We got to the food court and saw JJ sitting on his phone waiting for us.

Gabi- "you think he looks like he found out he is a dad?"

Zak~ "he does look a little stressed"

I was trying to read his face, I could not sense any emotion, But i'm really nervous. we approach JJ and sit down with him.

Gabi~ "so you the daddy" she said sitting down.

Zak & Me~ "Really Gabi"

Gabi~ "what let's just get straight to the point"

JJ~ " I am the dad" he said with the straightest face ever.

Zak, Gabi, and I all dropped our mouths to the floor and could not utter a word.

JJ~ "guys i'm kidding please say something" he said getting concerned because we all froze.

Gabi~ " you're an asshole" she said hitting him

Zak~ "don't play like that bro you got Shay about to cry over here" he said looking at me.

My face turned a reddish tone, and started to feel hot.

Me~ "that's not funny JJ" I said.

JJ~ "I'm sorry I just wanted to scare you guys for a minute"

Gabi~ " that's not something to joke about"

Me~ "was she really sure it was yours and lied or was she not sure"

JJ~ "She literally told her parents it was mine and she was going in for a check up but my parents told them that it is a paternity test appointment, and they looked at Rachel like she was crazy."

Zak~ " Karma does get to people sooner or later"

Gabi~ "For her, it was now" she said we all laughed.

Me~ "can we get something to eat i'm crazy hungry" I said getting up.

They got up and we went to the places we wanted food from, JJ and I got Chinese, Zak got five guys, and Gabi got pasta. We all shopped around a little before we left the mall.

JJ and I were walking to the car. 

Me ~ "do you want to come over"

JJ~ "sorry I have a book report due tomorrow, i'll facetime you though."

Me ~ "okay"

I got in the car and drove back home.

Me- "here is your keys, thank you" I said to Monte giving him his keys back"

Monte~ "Your welcome " he said taking the keys back.

I went to my room and laid down on my bed, I was about to get comfortable but then I heard my phone ring.

I was getting a call from JJ, I answered

We talked for a little then, just chilled and coexisted.

Soon I fell asleep.
