*couple days later*
It was a school morning and JJ was getting ready for the day. He was putting on his shoes when he got a call from the JIGS group chat.
*answers*
Gabi: "Guys, what do you think the school trip is going to be this year."
Shay: "Honestly going to Florida again would be nice I need some warmth."
Zak: "Mmmmm Florida girls sound nice"
JJ: "I'm not trying to spend all that money in Florida again, I hope they got something different coming."
Gabi: "Our school can't do anything creative, they do a Florida trip almost every year."
Zak: "I'll bet you $100 the trip is Florida."
JJ: "I'll take that bet"
Shay: "JJ you are really going to risk $100."
JJ: "I really think they are going to do something different this year."
Gabi: " Well it seem like Zak is going to be $100 richer."
JJ: " Whatever, imma finish getting ready, see you."
Zak, Shay, and Gabi: "see you"
*Hangs up*
JJ grabbed his bag and went downstairs. His parents were in the kitchen talking and having breakfast. JJ grabbed some food and sat down too.
"Hey guys" JJ said sitting down.
"Do you know where you guys are going on your winter trip this year" Betty said.
" Is it Florida again?" Vincent asked.
" I don't know yet, I think we are finding out today." JJ said taking bite out of his food.
"How much money we put into school this year I hope they are doing something new" Betty said getting up to put her plate in the dish washer.
"I hope they are, surprisingly taking a trip to Orlando every year is getting boring" JJ said.
"Hope it's somewhere new then" Vincent said.
After that JJ got a text from Gabi, saying they are outside.
"Alright guys, i'll see you later" JJ said getting up about to walk out the door.
"see you" Betty and Vincent said.
JJ walked to the car, and got in, they headed to Shay's to pick her up before going to the school. They got to the school parking lot and they got out to go to the cafeteria.
"Morning announcements in the auditorium during 1st period" Gabi Said.
"Bet, you ready to lose $100?" Zak said point to JJ.
"I'm not going to lose you are" JJ said.
"We'll see" Zak said.
They talked a little more before it was time to go to 1st period. They decide to just head straight to the auditorium, Other people had the same idea.
Once everyone was in the auditorium, the announcement started.
"Welcome everyone, may everyone be seated and quiet" The principal said.
" We are going to be talking about our annual school winter trip, I know a lot of you guys are looking forward to a nice warm Florida getaway, but this year we are going to switch it up a little bit" The principal said.
"Fuck" Zak mumbled.
"This year we are going..." The principal said about to show the next slide of the presentation.
"West Virginia Ski resort" The principal said.
Everyone started clapping.
"I take cash app, zelle, cash" JJ whispered to Zak.
Zak looked at JJ with a blank stare.
"Freshman and sophomores will go next week and juniors and seniors will go the week after" The principal said.
"Now, we are not going to be the only school there so please be on your best behavior because you are representing our school" she added.
"I really hope it's not Giovanni's and them school, I do not want to see them" Shay said.
"Same, I've been ignoring Amber" Gabi said.
"Now with all of the money we raised through fundraising we have some left over to cover some expenses for the winter trip this year, the field trip would not be as expensive as previous years" The principal said.
"Okay guys, that was it for the assembly please have a great rest of the day, get those permission slips in asap" The principal added and everyone started leaving the auditorium.
