The room was cold, the stillness almost suffocating as Jihoon stood across from Soonyoung. There was a palpable shift in the air, a tension so thick it was impossible to ignore. Jihoon had known for a long time that Soonyoung was far beyond anything he could control or reason with, but this… this was different. The madness in Soonyoung’s eyes had intensified, like a storm brewing just beneath the surface, ready to explode.

Jihoon remained silent for a moment, studying the man before him. Soonyoung wasn’t simply obsessed anymore—he was consumed. Jihoon could see it in the way Soonyoung’s eyes never left his face, in the way his body tensed, as though resisting the urge to lash out or close the distance between them. Every breath Soonyoung took felt heavy, burdened by a darkness Jihoon wasn’t sure he could pull him back from.

Soonyoung’s voice broke the silence, low and almost too calm. "You know, Jihoon, I don’t expect you to understand." He took a step forward, and Jihoon’s hand instinctively tightened around the handle of his knife. "But there’s something about you. Something that makes me lose my mind."

Jihoon’s eyes flickered to the blood on the floor—the body lying in a grotesque heap at Soonyoung’s feet, throat slit, face frozen in terror. He had killed without hesitation, without remorse, all because that boy had looked at Jihoon.

"You're insane," Jihoon said coldly, his voice betraying none of the unease creeping through him.

Soonyoung smiled at that, a twisted, almost childlike smile that sent a chill down Jihoon’s spine. "Maybe. But you like that about me, don’t you? You need someone like me, someone who will burn the world just to keep you safe."

Jihoon clenched his jaw, his gaze hard. "No. What I need is for you to stop acting like a rabid animal."

Soonyoung tilted his head, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "An animal? If I’m an animal, it’s because you made me one." He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You’re the one who brought me into this world, Jihoon. You gave me a reason to live, and I will do whatever it takes to keep you."

Jihoon didn’t respond, the weight of Soonyoung’s words settling uncomfortably in his chest. He had never wanted this. He had never wanted someone to become so obsessed with him that they would throw away their humanity for his sake. But Soonyoung wasn’t just obsessed—he was completely, irrevocably lost.

"You’re sick, Soonyoung," Jihoon said, his voice steady despite the storm raging inside him. "And if you keep this up, I’ll be the one to put you down."

For a moment, Soonyoung’s face softened, but the madness never left his eyes. "You won’t do that," he whispered, a twisted smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "You won’t kill me, because you need me just as much as I need you."

Jihoon’s expression hardened. He wanted to deny it, to tell Soonyoung that he was wrong, but deep down, he couldn’t. There was a part of him—a small, dark part—that was drawn to Soonyoung’s madness. It wasn’t love. It wasn’t even attraction. It was something darker, something more dangerous.

Soonyoung took another step forward, closing the distance between them until they were inches apart. Jihoon could feel Soonyoung’s breath on his skin, the heat of his body radiating off him like fire. There was a twisted intimacy in the way Soonyoung’s eyes devoured him, like Jihoon was the only thing that existed in his world.

"I would kill anyone for you," Soonyoung whispered, his voice soft but dripping with a dangerous promise. "Anyone who dares to touch you, look at you, even think about you. They’ll all die."

Jihoon’s hand shot out, grabbing Soonyoung by the throat. His grip was firm, but not enough to hurt—just enough to send a message. "Stop," he said, his voice low and commanding. "You’re going to get yourself killed."

Soonyoung’s lips curled into a smirk, his eyes dark and wild. "If it means I die for you, then I don’t care."

Jihoon’s fingers tightened around his throat, but Soonyoung didn’t flinch. He didn’t fight back. He just stared at Jihoon, that crazed look in his eyes growing more intense with every passing second.

"You don’t get it, do you?" Soonyoung whispered, his voice strained under Jihoon’s grip. "I’m yours, Jihoon. I belong to you. And if you ever tried to get rid of me, I’d come back. Again and again."

Jihoon released him, pushing Soonyoung back with enough force to make him stumble. "Get out of my sight," he ordered, his voice sharp and unforgiving.

But Soonyoung just smiled, wiping the blood from his lip where it had split against his teeth. "You can’t run from me forever," he said softly. "I’ll always find you, Woozi."
