Cora's POV
"Monsieur De Lioncourt, please tell us about your relationship with the accused madam Cora?" Santiago asked Lestat stayed quiet "Cora and I went to New Orleans together but soon after I became infatuated with Louis she left me after I had turned her and in nineteen seventeen she wrote me a letter saying that she was going in search for her family I don't know if she had contact with Louis or Claudia I know nothing after that" Lestat said "Liar you know I would never" I tried to say but the counsel did something to my head so I couldn't speak while I was disoriented they move Lestat and his chair grabbed me and put me front stage finally it was over and I was on the ground I knew what was coming next to I looked to Lestat with tears in my eyes "I've always loved you Lestat no matter what take me back to New Orleans it's my home my final resting place please" I pleaded Lestat had tears in his eyes as well nodding his head we both knew there was no stopping these vampires with on last look I closed my eye and sent on final message to my family "Go to New Orleans and find me" I thought to them I hoped they got it but I then felt the burning I opened my eyes and looked at Lestat refusing to scream from the pain I just smiled at him.
Third person POV
Lestat looked at Cora's ashes and tears rolled down his cheek he grabbed a jar and put her ashes in it with many looking at him weird he didn't care he failed her once already he wouldn't do it again this was the only thing she asked him to do.
Three days had come and gone since the trial Lestat had made it back to New Orleans two days ago he just found it hard to part with Cora's ashes, however there was a knock on the door Lestat opened it only to see a man he didn't know "I'm here for Cora" the man said "who are you?" Lestat questioned "I'm her father names Klaus Mikaelson now my daughter please" Klaus stated "she's dead" Lestat said with tear in his eyes "I know I want her ashes" Klaus said sadly Lestat nodded and grabbed the vase with Cora's ashes and handed them to her father so he could find a place for her to rest properly "thank you" Klaus said and left. After Klaus left Lestat started to cry knowing that the love of his life was gone forever.
Klaus fought day and night trying to get a witch to bring back his daughter until he found one in 1950 and in June of 1950 his daughter was finally home however Lestat wouldn't know that until he saw her one day in 2022.
