Don't get me wrong; my love for my mom is boundless.

Given the chance to rewrite my story, I'd choose her as my mother again without hesitation.

Yet, there are moments when keeping up with her unintentional standards feels like scaling a mountain.

She shines in everything she does—flaws and all—making it seem so beautiful. With her impeccable style, she juggles work and life hustles, pouring her heart into creating a good life for us. Her smile beams with pride, her words resonate with truth, and her love is a warm embrace. She goes the extra mile to help others, and it's no wonder they adore her.

I genuinely admire her too.

Still, a shadow of fear lingers, whispering that I might never reach her heights.

She assures me that I'm enough, her daughter no matter my achievements, and that I could never truly fail her.

I know she loves me, but a fire burns within me, urging me to reach beyond her—not to surpass her, but to stand beside her.

I yearn for that connection, to prove that I am her daughter, her blood, her pride, her joy.
