Chapter Four: The Uchiha Coup

As day became night all was quiet until two men from The Uchiha Clan came to The Michaelis Clan Household. A peaceful silence is shattered by a knock on the door. Caesar answers to find Itachi and Shisui, their expressions grim.

Caesar: Itachi, Shisui. What brings you here so late?

Itachi: We apologize for the intrusion, Caesar-san. There's a grave issue.

Caesar: Grave? Do tell.

Shisui: The Uchiha Clan is planning a coup d'etat.

Caesar's brow furrowed. The news sent a jolt through him. A coup was the last thing Konohagakure needed.

Caesar: A coup? Please come inside.

The three men walked in and took a seat in a chair.

Caesar: Now please explain yourselves.

Shisui leaned forward, his voice laced with urgency.

Shisui: Our clan... they're plotting to overthrow the Hokage. Seize control of the village.

Itachi: They believe it's their right, their destiny since our clan helped found The Leaf with The Senju.

Shisui: Plus, since The Nine Tails Attack, many of us felt like we were being targeted by the villagers, if not the higher-ups.

Caesar's mind raced. The Uchiha were a proud clan, their history laced with both loyalty and ambition. But a coup would bring only bloodshed.

Caesar: How far into this plan are they?

Caesar's questions hung heavy in the tense air. Shisui hesitated, his gaze flickering between Caesar and Itachi.

Shisui: We're not entirely sure; there's been talk and whispers among the clan elders. But things have escalated recently. More open discussions and preparations are being made. However, what we know is this. They sent spies all over the village to gather Intel. Some are for the coup; others, including us, are not.

Itachi: They also want to take Lord Hiruzen as a hostage, seal off every gate that leads in and out of the village, kill all joinin that would be a challenge to their power, and kill all notable clan leaders; if felt threatened they would take Naruto so they can force him to let The Kyuubi go wild and take over the village. However, my father wants a bloodless takeover; so his demands are as follows:

1. Allow The Uchihas to have a strong presence in The Leaf's affairs.

2. Dismantle The Uchiha Compound.

3. Allow the clan to live wherever they want.

4. Hiruzen must step down and let my father, Fugaku Uchiha, be The Fifth Hokage.

And they would not accept peace until all of them were met. There's a meeting planned for the upcoming week. A final decision will likely be made then.

The air in the room grew thick with the weight of their words. Caesar's initial shock had morphed into a steely resolve.
