As the sun rose on a new day, Caesar, Miriam, Naruto, and Tayuaya were in the living room sitting on mats, waiting for the results of the meeting. They heard a knock on the door and Caesar told the person to come in. The first to come into view were Itachi and Shisui followed by thirty members of their clan.
Caesar: Is this all of them?
Itachi: Yes
Shisui: We have about one hundred people who are against the coup, but it pales in comparison to the rebel forces of two thousand and we're losing members by the minute.
Caesar's brow furrowed. Thirty against two thousand was a daunting prospect. Disappointment flickered across Miriam's face, momentarily eclipsing her usual stoicism. Naruto, however, remained composed, his gaze fixed on a point beyond the room. Tayuya, ever the pragmatist, gripped the hilt of her katana tighter.
Caesar: We knew the odds wouldn't be favorable. We fight not for victory, but to make them pay dearly for their rebellion.
The crowd cheered and a wave of relief washed over Caesar as the room erupted in cheers. The unexpected display of loyalty from his people was a welcome surprise. He raised a hand, silencing the celebratory shouts.
Caesar: Thank you for your unwavering faith; while the odds are against us, your courage strengthens my resolve. But blind valor alone will not win this fight. He gestured towards Shisui and Itachi. Shisui, Itachi, tell us what transpired at the meeting. Every detail is crucial.
The weight of their mission settled upon The Uchihas. They exchanged a tense glance before Shisui stepped forward, ready to deliver the potentially grim news. Shisui cleared his throat, his voice resonating with a quiet intensity.
Shisui: The meeting was... tense, many voiced their disapproval of the coup, but some were firmly behind the rebellion.
Itachi: However, we managed to sow seeds of doubt. We exposed some of the rebellion's weaknesses and highlighted the potential for collateral damage.
A murmur rippled through the crowd. Miriam's stoic expression flickered with newfound interest.
Miriam: Did they name a leader for this rebellion? Caesar inquired, his gaze fixed on the Uchiha.
Shisui (hesitated for a moment): There are three of them my lady.
Itachi: Yashiro Uchiha, Tekka Uchiha, and Inabi Uchiha were the ones behind the coup.
Caesar: Hm I see; are they strong?
Shisui: Tekka and Inabi are but Yashiro, the ringleader, is a coward. He was the one who convinced Lord Fugaku to launch the coup.
Naruto: I might not be the smartest person in this room, but something seems off about it.
Caesar: Yeah you're right; this doesn't add up. There would have been no way for a coward like him to do something like that.
Itachi: You don't mean?
Miriam: Unfortunately, yes; whoever did it is the same person who let The Nine Tails lose to spur discord between Konoha and The Uchiha. Regardless of who wins or loses; that person would have Naruto one way or another.
Caesar: Plus, if I were Fugaku, I would have done a campaign to prove that we were innocent or, better yet, to gather my entire clan and go somewhere else.
