Percy woke up in his bed and looked around the room, rubbing his eyes because his vision was blurry. All of a sudden, his eyes landed on something small and blue. The thing is wiggling around like it's trying to escape something. Then he looked around, and he was out in a field, with the blue thing still in front of him. As he got closer he could hear it whimpering. He was about 8 feet away, when out of nowhere, a hunter of Artemis jumped out from behind a bush and stabbed the animal right through the head. Percy didn't recognize her. She had dark brown hair that was dyed blue at the ends. The little blue thing's (blue) blood sprayed all over him, and soon he was covered completely. He couldn't see anything, and when he was finally able to rub the blood away from his eyes, the hunter was gone. The little blue animal was screeching, the spear still sticking out of its head. As soon as he laid eyes on the animal, his skin felt like it had been dipped in the river Styx again. He looked down at his arms, and the skin was completely burnt off. You can see all the raw flesh underneath where his skin would be, slowly disintegrating.
He couldn't feel the pain anymore. He looked back up at the animal. Percy almost didn't register the pain at first, then he fell to his knees, unable to tear his eyes away from the dying animal. He tried to scream out in pain, but his voice was gone. His vision was going red and black all at the same time.
Then he was back on Mount Othrys. He saw Artemis fighting Atlas, Annabeth and Thalia fighting Luke. Zoe Nightshade was at his feet, Riptide protruding from her chest. This wasn't how it went. He was holding the sky when Zoe died.
Then all of a sudden, as if the dream read his mind, he was holding the sky again. His vision hazed over, and he saw a blurry outline of Atlas coming towards him. He was saying something, although Percy couldn't hear any of it. As he got closer to him, he could hear what he was saying.
"Little kid, I have been watching you, and I know for sure that you'll never live through today, and If you do, I'll make sure you suffer."
Percy stared at him. He didn't think any of this was real, but as the dream went on, he started to believe more and more.
Atlas kept talking to him, saying things like, "You'll never be respected. Nobody is ever going to truly like you. Everybody who died was because of you. You let Bianca die. You could have stopped her. You didn't even like Zoe. She was my daughter, and you killed her! I cared for her like she was the greatest thing, and you just took her away from me!"
Percy realized that it was no longer Atlas talking to him, but Annabeth's dad. He was yelling all sorts of things about how Percy was the worst thing on Earth, and how he stole Annabeth from him.
All of a sudden, he felt a spear go through his back. He turned and saw Piper standing there, crying. She said to Percy, "You killed Jason. You let him go on the quest! You took Jason away from me!" Piper fell to her knees and started sobbing.
Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, Jason himself tapped Percy on the shoulder. Percy turned, and as he did, Jason yanked the spear out of him.
He waited for the pain to come, but it never did. Instead he woke up in warm arms. Somebody was holding him. Percy realized he was crying. Tears were streaming down his face. He wiped his tears, sniffled, and snuggled deeper into the warmth of the person's arms.
