CH 2: Prologue| Monomi's present and...who is Monokuma?

Techno arrives at the beach where everyone was supposed to be meeting Usami and saw that there were a few people already there, so he sat on the floor, so he could continue reading and wait for the others to arrive. A little while later, he heard Byakuya Togami: Ultimate Affluent Progeny start talking to Hajime and Nagito, who were the last to arrive.

"You guys are the last to arrive. What are you dilly-dallying for?" "Sorry to keep you all waiting." Nagito says with the same smile that Techno has seen way too many times before. "Well, it's alright... More importantly this is our only chance to talk between ourselves before that rabbit returns." he states.

"Kyahaha! Let's talk!" Hiyoko Saionji: Ultimate Traditional Dancer cheerily exclaims, "Now then, let me hear your initial impression of this island." Byakuya says.

Peko Pekoyama (Ultimate Swordswoman): I happened to notice numerous blocked-off bridges on the central island...

Ibuki Mioda (Ultimate Musician): Oh, those are there so everybody doesn't get lost! I tried to cross one of them and that rabbit showed up and told me, so I'm telling the truth!

"So we don't get lost...? Is this island really so big?" Peko asked, "But if you look at it in depth, it's just a normal island, right? It's got a resort and everything!" Kazuichi Soda: Ultimate Mechanic exclaims with a smile, which shows his sharp teeth. "Well, not that I've ever been to a resort before, but..." He adds.

"Also there is a big~ ranch!" Hiyoko exclaims. Techno decides to ask something that has been on his mind since he started walking to the beach from his cottage, "Where can we grow stuff?" Everyone's attention went to him, so he continued, "Like this place is uninhabited, so that means animals aren't on the island either. Since there is a ranch, we might be able to have something to eat for a little while before there's no more. So, where can we grow stuff?" 

"As expected from a farmer, you care about putting food on people's plates, don't you, Techno...?" Nagito said with a smile, "Um...there's also a large supermarket, too... It looks like stocks everytime from food to living amenities." Mikan Tsumiki: Ultimate Nurse shyly explains.

"I see..." Techno says while nodding, "The hotel is nice too. It'd be great if we can stay there." Mahiru Koizumi: Ultimate Photographer states, "The restaurant inside the hotel was also very nice. It seemed to cater to a more plebeian taste." Techno flinched slightly when he heard Sonias' voice behind him, not realizing how close she was to him.

He had the urge to punch something, or someone who had the misfortune of being close to him, but he thought of the consequences if he did, so he silently moved away from her, "Can you guys listen to what I wanna say, too?" Teruteru asked, "I found something very important on this island... Girls! Very, very, very cute girls! Aha! All over the place!"

"Gross! I'm getting goosebumps!" Ibuki yelled and Techno silently agreed as he backed away from Teruteru. "All of you are fools... I can't believe nobody has mentioned the most serious truth." Byakuya says while crossing his arms, "...The most serious truth?" Chiaki Nanami: Ultimate gamer questions as she tilts her head.

Byakuya: If no one here realized it, you're all bigger fools than I thought.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu (Ultimate Gangster): What did you say, you fat bastard? Don't be talkin' all big and shit!

Byakuya: Small dogs shouldn't bark loud.

Hajime: Hey, what's the most serious truth? Did...did you find out something about the island?
