(Spencer pov)

The car coasted smoothly along the winding streets as I made my way to Sunday's house. The soft glow of twilight filled the sky, a canvas painted in hues of orange and purple. Sunday sat in the passenger seat, her hair catching the last rays of sunlight, creating an almost ethereal glow around her.
"Did you enjoy today?" she asked, breaking the comfortable silence that lingered between us.
"Of course," I replied, glancing over. "Being anywhere with you is enjoyable." My eyes flicked back to the road before me, but the warmth of her gaze felt like it melted the tension lingering in the air.

In her room, the familiar chaos of colorful posters and mood lighting welcomed us. We flopped onto her bed, surrounded by a sea of plush pillows and fluffy blankets, we decided to play Minecraft, well Sunday wants to and she forced me to play with her
Sunday sprawled across my lap, furious concentration etched on her face as she built her virtual house, while I dedicated myself to my own house. The rhythmic clicks of our controllers blended with the soft music playing in the background, a perfect soundtrack for this moment.
I smirked thinking of a way to mess with her , and I couldn't resist picking up a piece of TNT in the game. I knew exactly how she would react.
"Spencer, if you destroy my house, I swear I'll-"
"What will you do?" I teased, placing the TNT on top of her elaborate structure.
"Okay, two can play that game," she shot back, unfazed, as she retrieved her own TNT and planted it right on top of my house.
"Don't you dare, Sun-" I started, but before I could finish my warning, my virtual house erupted in a fiery explosion.
"sunday seriously? I wasn't going to blow up your house," I said in disbelief. "I was just messing with you"
"Oh well," she said, dying of laughter.
I crossed my arms trying to look as pissed off as possible.
But Sunday's laughter slowly waned as she noticed my mock scowl. "Oh no, Spence, I'm sorry... I didn't think you'd actually get upset." Concern flashed in her eyes as she shifted her weight to look directly at me.
I win.
That was when I couldn't hold it in any longer. I burst out laughing, the sound echoing in her small sanctuary. Her startled expression quickly morphed into a playful glare.
"Seriously? You are so immature" she exclaimed, tossing a pillow in my direction, a smile breaking through her attempt at seriousness.
"You and Diego really need to stop calling me that," I shot back, tossing the pillow back at her.
"Or what?" she challenged, raising an eyebrow playfully.
"Or we might just have to fight," I replied, a grin stretching across my face.
"I'd definitely win," she said, smacking my arm with another pillow.
In one swift movement, I pinned her down on the bed, holding both her wrists above her head. The playful tension soared between us as I leaned in closer. "Who's winning now?" I whispered, softly.
Her breath caught just inches from mine, and for a fleeting second, the world outside ceased to exist.
Her hands found their way to my face, brushing my hair back, and in that moment, everything else faded away. She was so close that I could feel the heat radiating from her, a warmth that ignited something deep within me.
She leaned in as if ready to close the distance-our lips were almost brushing-but just at the moment when I thought she would let it happen, she pulled back, opting for a hug instead. I had half-expected it, yet disappointment flickered in my chest. It wasn't the first time.
"I love you, you know that, right?" she murmured, and her voice was earnest, filled with a sincerity that made me believe her.
"Yeah, I love you too," I replied softly, I really do mean it.
With a gentle motion, she released me from the hug, falling back onto the bed. I lay beside her, both of us gazing at the ceiling, enveloped in the ordinary moments that felt so extraordinary.
"You know, you remind me of a song," I said, breaking the silence, my voice barely above a whisper.
"What song?" she asked, amusement lacing her tone.
"Only the best of them," I replied. "It's called 'K.' Being with you feels like the lyrics, and your smile reminds me of the melody."
She rolled her eyes teasingly, but there was a warm blush creeping across her cheeks. "You're such a dork"
"U love this dork"
"I mean it," I insisted, turning to face her fully, our eyes locking. "You look like a cas song ."
She paused, absorbing my words, before leaning closer again, her eyes dancing. "You promise?"
"I promise,"
