I was so anxious for my flight that I ended up spending half the night playing Subway Surfers on my phone and listening to Drake's new mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late. It dropped a couple months ago but I wanted to wait to listen until the online discourse died down. It wasn't my favorite but I knew better than to leave my honest review online. I got maybe 1 good hour of sleep before I gave up and started getting ready early. It was just after 1:15a.

I sat on the edge of my bed swinging my feet until my brain turned on fully. I packed a weeks worth of outfits and shoes, deciding to forgo the toiletries to make my trip through security smoother. When I flew with Kelly from New York to Miami I had to dump my entire bottle of Versace Bright Crystal in the trash. I was mortified.

I took a long shower and brushed my hair into a sleek ponytail just to travel comfortably. I pulled on a denim romper and a new pair of Air Force 1's. I didn't bother with any makeup, I knew it would be washed off before we started filming.

For breakfast I ate a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter and put few grapes in a sandwich bag for my ride to the airport. I was feeling nauseous and didn't have much of an appetite truthfully. It just kept feeling like I was headed into the lions den. I knew if Kelly and I were on good terms she'd act as a buffer. Kelly was so funny and she was good with people too. It wouldn't have mattered if they were new people or not. She knew exactly what say to make everyone feel comfortable around her. It was a gift that skipped me unfortunately. I sucked at small talk and was even worse at making new friends.

I rolled my suitcases by the door and sat down on the couch. I couldn't stop worrying. I'd never shot a music video before. I didn't know what to expect or how to act when I got there. I wondered if I could fake some sort of injury and fly back home. If it was witnessed by a few dozen people, maybe I wouldn't have to suffer through the next 4 days. Maybe they'd cancel the shoot altogether. I smiled a bit. It was a comforting thought but I also didn't want to get sued. Again. So I grabbed my things and went down to the lobby to wait until my car pulled up.
