31st OCTOBER 1981

"HERE you go, Prongs." Sirius said, handing over a bag of baby products to James. "All of (Y/N)'s stuff for the night."

Baby (Y/N) giggled at the sight of James Potter, her hair turning into a color of bright purple. "Pwongs!" She said excitedly as she pointed to him.

James Potter grinned at her as he took her from Sirius's arms. "Nice try, little one. But it's Prrrrongs," He gently corrected.

"Bye bye (N/N)!" Sirius waved as he gently kissed her forehead.

"Dada!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she attempted to wave back, her hair changed back into her original color. James walked into the house and set her down next to Harry so that they could play.

He walked back out to talk to Sirius.

"How's the baby?" Sirius asked.

"The baby's alright. It's been five months and she's been giving Lily a lot of movement to feel." James said joyfully.

"What are you thinking of naming her?"

"We were thinking of Aurora or Rosaline. Not really thought much about it though."

"I think you should name her after a star...like Cassiopeia, or even Sirius, perhaps?" Sirius joked.

"Nice try, Padfoot! As much as I would love to, there's no way in hell that Lily is going to agree to name our kid that." James said.

"Aww, why not?" Sirius pouted and James just shrugged.

"Anyways, good luck on your date, Padfoot. It's nice to know you're somewhat moving on from Paws's death."

Sirius's mood changes as he wistfully nods. "I'm trying everything I can to make sure I give (Y/N) the childhood she deserves. I'm doing my best for both of us. But somehow going on this date feels like...cheating."

James raised an eyebrow. "How so? It has been a few months since her passing."

"I know, I know. I guess it just feels wrong that she suffered a slow and painful death, she sacrificed her life to save me and now I'm going out on a date to move on from her. I feel like I'm disrespecting her sacrifice." Sirius expressed. "It's been extremely hard to move on from her, and half of it is probably the guilt weighing me down. And to think (Y/N)'s going to have to grow up without a Mom pains me, and it's all my fault."

James hugged Sirius tightly. "I understand your feelings, Padfoot. But it's wrong to blame yourself. Paws made a decision for a better life for you and (Y/N). So don't ever think it's your fault. And I encourage you to go on this date and lighten up a bit. These past few months have been hard on all of us, with the war going on and everything. And I for one know that Paws is watching from up there and she wants nothing but for you and (N/N) to be happy."

Sirius nods as he swiftly wipes away a tear that escaped. "Well, I best be going. Say goodnight to Harry and (Y/N) for me."

James smiled. "Sure thing."

Sirius began to walk away, but James's voice stopped him. "Padfoot!"

He turned around. "Yeah?"
