Author: Y'all...I'm feeling like we're coming to an end, slowly. It's been a long way coming but I'm grateful to God for grace. I hope I deliver right and it ends as it should. Amen. Happy reading!

As thick as the day's clouds were, Asher tried to find something good about Sunday.

Townsfolk came out in their numbers in the afternoons, and common streets ended up being crowded until the dusk.

It wasn't a surprise that the once lone streets were swarmed beyond recognition.

"Is the president of Canada coming or what?" Was the first thing she said when she got on her favourite stool in her favorite place.

Harry let out a laugh  "We don't call it president though, and no, something better is happening in Birchwood"  Harry explained, offering donuts.

She gladly took one stuffed with blueberry jam.

Her least hated.

"Then what's happening? It's awfully jammed outside" she asked with a mouthful

" Well, it's something about a revival. The people you saw are getting tickets to the performance center."

"Revival " she repeated

" Mhmm. A gospel artists type thing"

"Just wow"

"Yep. And Oren's going to be there"

She rolled her eyes before she could stop herself
"From that look, I'm guessing you still hate him?"

She sighed  " I don't. Y'all just make him seem important"

Oren this, Oren that... sickening!

Sickening that she cared.

" Is that it?" Harry had a suggestive smile

"Yes it is" she emphasized, averting his gaze

The doors opened to someone and she wished—from the look Harry had—it wasn't who she thought it was.

"Anya, welcome" Harry beamed. The brightest she'd seen him smile.

Anya?

There was only one Anya...

"Hello Harry—oh Asher? What a delight!"

Ah crud.

"Hi professor" she faked a smile

Anya Mikalsky and Harry exchanged a look before both burst out laughing.

"Oh please dear, call me Anya when we're not in school"

"Yeah, it's weird" Harry confessed  "Is Summer alright?" He asked, drawing their attention to the sleeping toddler in her arms.

She had a daughter??

Anya chuckled  "Oh, she's very fine. Have her on meds that's all"

"Oh" Harry smiled.  "What do I get you?"

Asher didn't mistake his extra sweetness but she remained mute, snacking on her donuts.

"The usual" she smiled and he left, not without a wink.

She joined Asher on a stool and made her at least hundred times nervous.

Harry returned with her coffee offering her a fresh batch of donuts.
