THE AVENGERS WERE COMING. THAT was enough for one of the main doctors to pull the twins and me into the main room, where many men were scattering to put away things and make sure everything important was safe. It was very chaotic, as the three of us stood in the back of the room, to get out of the way.

I stood between the twins, honestly scared out of my mind.

It didn't matter if I could take their hits and whatever they had, I was scared that they'd take me away or scared to see H.Y.D.R.A. (this big organization, too big to even describe) crumble in seconds almost.

Pietro held onto my head, practically petting me like a cat, while I held onto Wanda's hand; her grip was very strong. The twins were good at hiding how they really felt, while their faces looked stone-cold, clearing their bodies were telling a different story.

I wish I could be more like that, all secretive and put-together. I can never hide my emotions or expressions like that, no matter how hard I try.

My eyes shifted when I saw Strucker come into the room, and he was informed how the Avengers were coming to the base.

"Deploy the rest of the tanks," Strucker orders, "Concentrate fire on the weak ones. A hit may make them
close ranks." He turns to one of the main doctors. He spoke to him lowly, "Everything we've accomplished... But we're on the verge of our greatest breakthrough."

"Then let's show them what we've accomplished," Dr. List tells him, "Send out the twins."

My heart dropped within seconds.

"It's too soon."
"It's what they signed up for."

I think what made me even more nervous was that Wanda and Pietro were ready for it. They looked frustrated they weren't calling for them to stop the Avengers, but I honestly didn't care, I wanted them by me.

"My men can hold them," Strucker states, before turning to the people in the room, "We will not yield! The Americans sent their circus freaks to test us. We will send them back in bags. No surrender!"

"No surrender!" Everyone chants.

That was when Pietro's hand grabbed my shoulder, and then a force of wind blew me to an entirely different room.
I blinked confused, a bit dizzy from how fast he ran.

"Dieťa," Pietro says to me, "you need to hide here for a bit. We will be back for you." (kid)

"Where are you going?" I ask them, afraid of their answer.
