AUTHOR's POV: (1 year later after 2nd marriage)

It was a peaceful night, the only sound in the room being the ticking of the clock and the soft rustling of papers as Akshu studied. Her desk was filled with books and notes, all spread out as she prepared for her upcoming entrance exam for becoming a Professor. Though the night stretched on, Akshu's focus remained unbroken, her determination unwavering despite the long hours.

The door creaked open quietly, and Veer walked in, carrying a tray with a glass of milk and a bowl of dry fruits. He had been making sure Akshu was well taken care of during her study sessions, knowing how hard she was working.

"Akshu, drink some milk. You need to keep your energy up," Veer said gently, placing the tray on the desk beside her.

Akshu glanced up from her notes, giving him a tired but grateful smile. "Thank you, Veer. You're always thinking of me... it means a lot," she replied softly before turning back to her studies.

Just then, the peaceful moment was interrupted by the soft cry of their one-year-old daughter, Veera, from her crib. Akshu immediately started to rise from her chair.

"I'll go check on her—" she began, but Veer was quick to place a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"Sit down, I'll handle it," he said with a reassuring smile.

Akshu hesitated for a second, but then sat back down, trusting him. She watched as Veer walked over to the crib where Veera was fussing, her little hands reaching out as soon as she saw her father.

"Hey, my little princess, what's the matter?" Veer whispered as he scooped her up into his arms, cradling her gently. He began to hum a soft lullaby, swaying her in his arms. His deep, calming voice filled the room, bringing a sense of peace.

"Shh... Papa's got you," Veer whispered soothingly, patting her back. Slowly, Veera's crying faded, her tiny body relaxing in her father's arms. Her eyelids fluttered closed, and soon, she was fast asleep once more, lulled by her father's love and care.

Akshu couldn't help but watch, her heart swelling with emotion. Her eyes flicked to the bed, where their four-year-old son, Aarav, was already fast asleep, curled up peacefully in his blankets.

Veer gently placed Veera back in her crib, tucking her in carefully before turning back to Akshu. "Now, you focus on your studies. We're all with you," he said, his voice filled with pride and affection.

Akshu smiled, her heart full. "You're incredible, Veer. I don't know how I could do any of this without you."

Veer leaned against the desk, crossing his arms. "You've always had it in you, Akshu. I'm just here to make sure you get to where you're meant to be," he said with a grin.

Akshu looked at him with so much love, feeling overwhelmed by his support. This wasn't just about the exam—it was about everything they were building together, and how Veer was always there, making sure she never had to carry the weight alone.

Veer glanced at the tray he had brought. "Now, finish your milk and dry fruits. The doctor said it's important," he added with a teasing smile.

Akshu laughed lightly. "Okay, okay, I'll drink it," she said, picking up the glass of milk, knowing he wouldn't let her off the hook so easily.

As she sipped her milk, she watched Veer quietly tuck Aarav in again, his love and care evident in every small action. Akshu's heart swelled with gratitude. Veer wasn't just an incredible father—he was her partner in every sense of the word.

"Thank you, Veer," she whispered, her voice full of emotion.

Veer smiled and winked at her. "Always, for you," he replied, walking over and placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Then Akshu returned to her books, while completely focusing on her notes.
