I'm still blushing as I walk into Math. "Late again I see, Mr. Kamenar." I hear Mr. Frank's stern voice. "I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again, I promise." I inwardly cringe, I said the exact same thing yesterday. "That's what you told me yesterday Bryson, yet here we are again." At this point everyone is staring at me. Why me? Mr. Frank has beef with me for absolutely no reason. He doesn't attack anyone else like this. As I stand there defeated, I hear someone walk in behind me and take Mr. Franks' attention away from me. Taking advantage of the situation, I quietly slip into my seat.

"Class, this is Keyan, he's going to be in this class now. His whole timetable had to be changed due to him transferring out of Mr. Smith's science class." Typical Mr. Frank, always oversharing details about people's personal lives that he could've just kept to himself. I want to see who this Keyan guy is but I'm not going to risk looking up in case I catch Mr. Franks attention. Unfortunately, his attention does end up coming back to me.
"Why don't you go sit down at that desk over by Bryson." Mr. Frank tells Keyan, "And speaking of Bryson, I want you to stay a little longer after class to talk to me today." he adds. Not again! I have soccer practice after school today! "But I-" I start "No buts young man. You're staying after class, end of discussion." I open my mouth to protest but a low whisper stops me, "Don't argue, man. He's just gonna get more mad at you."

I turn around to see who the voice belongs to, only to be met with the steady gaze of the new guy, Keyan. He looked at me for a brief moment, then turned towards the teacher, his lips curling up into a cute smile. Mr. Frank started talking about class policies and what units we're covering, but I wasn't paying attention. All my focus was on Keyan- I couldn't help myself. I just couldn't tear my eyes off of his smooth marble skin, warm eyes, that cute smirk... Wait. What's going on? I've never felt this way before about a guy, well, anyone for that matter. And it's the second time in one day after 16 years of nothing... Bewildered, I stare at my desk in utter confusion.
