They taunt me to such lengths
That I succumb
Despite all of my strengths
And my heart beat's thrum
I'm told they'll judge me
Say I'm rusty
That I'm no good
That I never could
But one day when I sat alone
Realizing I missed the world
For the voices in my head were always wrong
There's so much more in me
Than I know of
Nobody's perfect
That's why were unique
Some are classy
Some are chic
We're not AI
So why try to be
The modern world's lies
We can all defeat
When you look in the mirror
I want you to smile
Go wear that grin
For the rest of your life
And when the going gets tough
Believe in you
Always know
We're all in it too
Hope this poem will help anyone out there struggling with self-worth realize their strengths despite what the world thinks.
