FLASHBACK — San Andreas Park — 01/23/2017, 3:51 PM.

"This is crazy!" Anna said laughing while sucking on her Coconut ice cream. "Matthew, you're crazy."
"Crazy only if it's for you." the boy said hugging her from behind.
The two were in the city park, it was a Tuesday afternoon, but it didn't matter, they were on vacation and every day was Saturday. They walked calmly along the lakeshore while sucking on ice cream. It was a typical romantic scene from an American movie. Anyone who saw this scene wouldn't think that the couple in love was none other than Anna Gordon and Matthew Sinclair.
"That sounded too romantic to have come out of your mouth, Sinclair." the boy stuck out his tongue.
"Look what you did to me, Anna Jane Gordon." the boy replied. "I became unrecognizable. If my friends saw me now..."
"What would they say, huh? Are you worried about what your friends would think if they saw you getting serious with a girl?" Anna asked, she crossed her legs and felt uncomfortable.
"Worried wasn't the word I would use but..." Matthew shrugged." I don't know, I mean... It's me, right? I never get serious with anyone, I have this reputation of being a player... Getting serious with someone this year wasn't in my plans until..."
"Until I showed up."
"It's not that, Anna." the boy sighed. "All this, I mean, we happened so fast and so suddenly. I thought our deal was that this would only last until the end of the summer."
"Love has an expiration date, great." Anna threw the rest of the ice cream in the trash and quickened her pace, so she wouldn't have to walk next to Matthew.
"ANNA!" Matthew ran to her and grabbed her by the wrist. "I... I like you, I really do, but I can't commit to anyone, especially with the bet with the 1F3AC boys going on..."
"UGH! I like you, Matthew. That's the problem! The problem is that I'm willing to give up all my contacts, all the parties for you... And you're not willing to do that for me."

Anna sighed, running her hands through her hair. She was tired of this. She was tired of dedicating herself 100% to someone who couldn't even give her 75%. It was at times like these that she wondered why she had accepted that bottle of Askov on the first day of vacation.

Gordon's House — 02/29/2017, 05:43 AM.

Anna Gordon woke up before her alarm clock even went off. She had a dream, a flashback, so to speak. She and Matthew, together, hugging and kissing in the park. That's how she spent the entire summer, with Matthew. And now, the girl deeply regretted having wasted her time with that boy.

She decided to go to the bathroom and start doing her personal hygiene. She knew that after this kind of dream she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep even if she wanted to, and besides, she had to get ready for school as soon as possible.
Her cell phone was full of messages from her friends asking why she had missed the first day of school, which Anna chose not to answer. She didn't want to have to say she had missed school just so she wouldn't have to look at Matthew Sinclair's face. Oh my God, she never wanted to look at that boy's face again, but she couldn't miss school! It was her senior year, she had to be there if she wanted to get out of school as soon as possible.
The loud noise that came from the kitchen made her stop sorting her clothes and go straight downstairs.
"Will... Shh... Shut up... Everyone's asleep."
Anna stopped at the kitchen door with her arms crossed and looked at the scene with disgust.
"ANNA! You scared me!"
It was Alice Gordon, the older sister, and her scoundrel boyfriend Will Healy.
"What are you guys doing? " Anna asked. "You know mom would freak out if she sees Will here..."
"She doesn't need to know I'm here, right?" Will said, making Alice laugh.
"I didn't talk to you. You're both drunk, for God's sake!" Anna rolled her eyes. "I'm going to get ready for school, I don't want mom to catch me with you guys and think I'm an accomplice."
"You're not going to tell her anything, are you?" Alice asked worriedly.
"Keep living your pathetic life with your drugged boyfriend, I'm not going to get involved in this."
"HEY!" the oldest shouted in protest.
"That's it, bark louder!" Anna scolded. "Hopefully you'll wake up mom and dad."
"You've never seen us here... " Alice whispered, pulled Will's hand and ran away.
"I wish I really hadn't..."
Anna decided to go back to her room and start packing her school supplies, she also had to mentally prepare herself to meet Matthew after everything they had been through during the summer.
