The soft hum of music played in the background as Jungkook leaned against the kitchen counter of Lila's apartment.
It had become a familiar place for him– too familiar, really.
After every long day in the studio or an exhausting rehearsal, they always ended up here, winding down with snacks and a couple of drinks. Each late-night hangout had become easier, more comfortable, and the quiet understanding between them grew stronger with each one.
Lila was grabbing them more wine, and Jungkook watched her from his spot at the counter, running a hand through his tousled black hair.
She moved with an effortless ease, her oversized, baggy sweatshirt slipping slightly off one shoulder as she reached for the glasses. It was big enough to almost swallow her frame, but paired with the skin-tight black shorts that clung to her legs, it did nothing to hide the curves that drove him to distraction.
Jungkook swallowed hard, forcing himself to glance away for a moment.
Focus, man.
He couldn't remember how long they had been going at it in the studio, but his body ached in that satisfying way it always did after hours of rehearsing, the kind of tiredness that came from pushing his limits.
His black Calvin Klein shirt stretched across his chest as he shifted his weight, the fit accentuating his wide shoulders and toned arms. He glanced down at the tattoos on his arm, flexing his sore muscles, then toyed absentmindedly with his lip piercing as his eyes betrayed him, flicking back to her.
"You're getting spoiled, you know that?" Lila teased, handing him his glass. Her fingers brushed his for just a second longer than necessary, sending a familiar warmth through him.
The rockstar raised an eyebrow, taking the glass with a grin. "Hey, you're the one offering. Not my fault you make it hard to leave."
Lila smirked as she leaned back against the counter opposite him, holding her glass casually. "Mm-hmm. Pretty sure you're just milking this for all it's worth, big guy."
