The Night The Boogeyman Came To The Cul-De-Sac

Chapter Three - Terror At The Pumpkin Patch

As the Eds continued the search for Spook-E-Ville, they followed the map until they reached the Pumpkin Patch. They were greeted by a man tending the Pumpkin Patch. 

Pumpkin Patch Owner: Howdy boys!

Edd: Why hello, good sir! Your Pumpkin Patch is quite lovely! 

Ed: PUMPKINS! PUMPKIN JACK O'LANTERNS GOOD FOR ED! 

Eddy: Quiet down, Lumpy! I'm trying to read the map! 

Pumpkin Patch Owner: We don't usually get trick or treaters this far out, but I bought some candy just in case! 

The owner of the Pumpkin Patch then presents a bowl of candy to the Eds. The owner then hands the Eds a handful of candy each. 

Eddy: Aw sweet! Some extra candy on our way to Spook-E-Ville! 

Ed: CANDY! LOTHAR CLAIMS THIS CANDY IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS GOOD SO SAYETH LOTHAR! 

Edd: Why thank you, sir! Happy.....

Eddy: Happy Halloween, yeah yeah...come on boys! The next clue is ahead of us! 

Eddy then grabs Ed and Edd and drags them deeper into the Pumpkin Patch in search for the next clue. As the Eds run off, the Pumpkin Patch owner chuckles as he goes back to tending the pumpkins. It was at this moment that Michael Myers emerged from the forest. 

Pumpkin Patch Owner: More Trick Or Treaters? Well I still have some candy left. Happy Halloween.....

When the Pumpkin Patch owner turns around, he sees Michael Myers with a bloody knife. Before he could react, Michael Myers lunges at the man and lands a few slashes in. The owner was taken aback by the attack, but manages to fight him off. The owner then runs to the shack and pulls out a shotgun and aims it at Michael. 

Pumpkin Patch Owner: That's far enough! Come any closer and I'll shoot! 

Michael Myers says nothing as he continues walking towards the owner with his knife in hand. Left with no other choice, the owner pulls the trigger and shoots Michael Myers in the shoulder. Despite the wound, Michael Myers kept coming. When the owner pulls the trigger, the gun jams. Before the owner could react, Michael Myers yanks the shotgun out of his hands and smashes it over the man's face. As the owner was knocked to the ground, Michael grabs the owner and smashes his face through the glass. He then lifts the owner's head and jams his neck into a shard of glass. Michael Myers than slits the man's throat with the glass. As the man was killed, Michael breathes heavily as he moves forward. Meanwhile the Eds move deeper into the Pumpkin Patch as the sound of the shotgun was heard. Edd was the only one who seemed concerned. 

Edd: What on Earth was that?

Eddy: C'mon, Sockhead! We're almost at the first clue!

Ed: WAIT!

Edd and Eddy turn to face Ed. 

Ed: I met this 6-year-old child with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes; the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply....evil.

Eddy and Edd looked at Ed as he stared blankly for a few seconds and proceeds to flash a big goofy smile. 

Eddy: Um....right. C'mon! Let's go!

Edd: What exactly are we looking for?

Eddy: We're looking for the biggest pumpkin in the patch! Once we find that, we....

Eddy is interrupted when he walks headfirst into a cardboard sign. He gathers his bearings and looks up to see that the sign featured a giant pumpkin. 

Eddy: ALRIGHT, BOYS! That's our first clue! According to the map, the next clue lies beyond the giant pumpkin and down the narrow and spooky road!

Ed: The night is long and full of terrors, but Lothar shall slay all monsters who seek to plague the land of the living! 

Eddy: Yeah yeah.....

Edd: And what exactly is our next clue? 

Eddy: After we go down the spooky road, we're supposed to find the "Spooky Bridge". 

Edd: Spooky Bridge? Really?

Eddy: Yeah? What of it?

Edd: That's it's name? Spooky Bridge? 

Edd: Hey I didn't make up the names!

Ed: BEWARE THE SPOOKY BRIDGE FOR TERRORS OF ALL SHAPE AND SIZES CROSS THE BRIDGE FROM THE LAND OF THE DEAD TO THE LAND OF THE LIVING TO TERRORIZE ALL LIVING CREATURES! LOTHAR SHALL SMITE THESE DENIZENS OF THE DEATHTHROES OF THE LIVING DEAD AND CAST THEM INTO THE DARK VOID FROM WHENCE THEY CAME SO SAYS LOTHAR!

Edd and Eddy pause once more to try and comprehend what Ed was saying. Like his last monologue, Ed remains silent before flashing a big goofy grin. 

Ed: I am Ed!

As Ed says this, Michael Myers walks deeper into the Pumpkin Patch and spots the Eds. He prepares his knife as Edd turns around. At first, Edd thought he saw Michael Myers but when he blinked, Michael Myers was nowhere to be seen. 

Edd: What the....

Eddy: HEY! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!

Edd: Oh um....sorry. I thought I saw something.....

Eddy: Let's just go! The Spooky Bridge is waiting for us! And past Spooky Bridge will be Spook-E-Ville!

With that, the Eds continued forward in their search for Spook-E-Ville, but Edd couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something was following him. But what Edd didn't realize was that not only was he and the other Eds being stalked by someone, but they were in fact being stalked by none other than Michael Myers himself and Michael Myers had the Eds in his sights.
