" is that it " my mother said taking the last box out of her truck. it was finally the day , apart of me thrilled and excited to start a new journey and another afraid of what's to come
" yeah that's it " i said looking in the trunk to see no more boxes
" i remember it being just yesterday when you would run all over the house refusing to put on underwear " she said laughing as i chuckled
" okay well i should really get going so i can unpack and get as much rest as possible " i said closing the trunk as i look around to see other people getting their stuff ready to move in
" im so proud of hun " she said looking at me as i smiled
" i love you " she said as i mounted " i love you too " i than grabbed the last box off her as she stood there looking at me like i was moving across the country.. she than grabbed my head from the sides and leaned forward giving me a kiss on my forehead
" okay , call me if you need anything " she said pulling away from my forehead as i nod . she flashed me a smile before walking away into her car . she waved at me as she turned on the car, as i waved back . watching her than drive away
i sighed as i turn around to see the dorms , well this was it. i walk into the dorm which i was rooming with my best friend madison. luckily she hadn't arrived or else this room would be filled with boxes and boxes of clothes. i put my last box on my side of the room before jumping into my bed looking up at the ceiling. biting my lip, what could these 4 years of college have for me? would it be like everyone says and makes it seem like? suddenly the door opens revealing madison, my best friend for years
" heyyyy " she said somehow holding two boxes which was kinda impressive since she was so skinny
" heyy " i said getting up from the bed and taking a box away from her and laying it on her side of the room
" god i totally forgot today was move in day " she said laying the box down as i chuckled
" not surprised " i said , madison was like the it girl. she knew everyone and everyone knew her . she was crazy beautiful, outgoing, smart and incredibly talented.
" have you seen any hotties " she said taking a seat on my bed as i shook my head taking a seat right next to her
" ugh cindy really, are you like um planning on dying a virgin or what " she said as i widened my eyes making her chuckle.
" college is literally all about partying, sex, and alcohol . it's your perfect opportunity " she said smirking as i rolled my eyes . of course we were best friends but definitely had our differences .
" actually it's about getting a degree and becoming someone in life , and even so if it is about partying, sex or whatsoever. i'm not interested " i said as she rolled her eyes and got up the bed
" do you mind helping me take out my boxes " she said as i chuckled
" of course not " i said getting up from the bed as we walked down to the driveway to take out the million of boxes madison had brought with her . the rest of the day was us simply unpacking and talking or more like me listening to madison..
" are you excited " she asked as i folded my clothes
" yeah , i can't wait to see all the programs they have " i said as madison chuckled
" of course you are " she said as she unboxed her clothes
" you know, i heard there was a welcoming party happening tonight " she said turning around to look at me as i completely try to ignore her
