Standing at the door of his new place of work, Izika wondered what would happen once he opened the door. Would things go well, or will things go badly? He was already on the wanted lists of many nobles, and the guards were not as compassionate about the situation.
Izika let out a breath before looking back at the door, the door being atleast 8ft tall like the rest of the doors he had seen so far."*Ahem*"
Izika looked behind and saw the guard, the very guard who was with him before he was assigned. "Oh, you're still here?"
The guard composed herself as she looked off to the side. "Yes. I, uh, thought of telling you something urgent before I leave."
Izika wondered what she wanted to say as her body language was rather nervous instead of rigid. "Alright."
"Okay, uh.. I'm not sure of how to do this, sincetheothersuspectswheredoingthis- But..." The guard took off her glove and raised her hand, relaxing her Animus. "May I?"
Izika blinked with slightly widened eyes, both with wonder and caution as he paused before answering. ".. okay."
Izika turned and walked over to the guard, standing infront of her before looking up at her.
The guard let out a breath to relax, hoping that she could do it properly..... Once calm, she placed her bare hand onto Izika's head slowly. Watching Izika's every move as she did this.
Rubbing softly, the guard was about to pet his head for days upon realizing how soft his hair was. However, they both had things to do. Plus, that wasn't the reason behind the gesture."There." The guard cleared her throat. "I best be going now. Take care."
Izika nodded as he watched the guard turn to leave. The feeling of the guards hand disappearing along with her. "Thanks... same to you too."
The guard huffed with a small smile before taking off by sliding on ice, disappearing down the hallway as Izika was left alone to his thoughts.
As the sounds of a guard's departure echoed down the hallway, Izika looked back at the door with a sigh, taking note of he golden plate which was nailed onto the wall right next to the door. Izika stepped closer and ran his fingers along the writing on it.
'Grand Vizier Ainsley Kaisong'
Izika looked back at the door as he gently twirled his fingers around the fringes of a wrap shawl, which was around his neck and draped down over his shoulders and arms. The shawl covered most of his upper torso in layers, it woven with a dull gold threads and navy blue patterns on it.
'Theres no body guard?...... well that's surprising. I thought I'd find about fifty with this case going on..... I'm just glad the guard allowed me to wear this... I just hope the Vizier is not offended by it. I've already had enough to deal with concerning nobles.'
Many thoughts raced through his head as he stared at the door, one of them being if the guard knew how nervous he was or if she patted his head out of curiosity. Izika has had many job interviews, but with murder being the main reason for being there? Hardly ever.
'I guess it's now or never.'
Izika raised his hand to knock onto the door but paused when he heard someone walking over to him. The person being among the few he actually got to talk to for more than hour.
"Izika?"
Izika turned his head to the left and looked up a bit because of their height difference. "Hey Hika."
Hika walked over to him, being in the same outfit as the last chapter with her duffel bag still slung on her shoulder. Taking note of his dressing before looking at his face. "They are allowing you to wear casual clothes?"
