Jin’s eyes flickered open, his vision blurry as he slowly registered his surroundings. He blinked a few times before dramatically sitting up, looking around in a daze. His hands slapped the ground beneath him, confusion quickly turning to outrage when he realized where he was.
"The fuck!" Jin shouted, staring at the dirt on his hands. "What am I doing on the ground?!"
He scrambled to his feet, his face twisted in disbelief. "No, no, no, this can’t be happening... The great, worldwide handsome Kim Seok Jin... on the ground?!" He dusted himself off with exaggerated frustration, muttering under his breath as his eyes darted around the unfamiliar place. "This is such a humiliation. How dare that guy knock me out?! The nerve! Who does he think he is?"
Jin stomped his foot dramatically, his face flushed from anger and embarrassment. "And who does that cold-faced gangster think he is, huh? Making me, me, pass out like that! Ugh, I swear, the next time I see him..." He trailed off, realizing he had no idea where he was. His bravado faltered slightly as he looked around the dimly lit room.
"Wait, where am I?" Jin muttered, frowning. His hand instinctively reached up to fix his hair, his eyes scanning the surroundings. It was a large, cold, and dim room—definitely not the alley where he’d tripped. No windows, no familiar sights. Just cold concrete walls and a door that looked a bit too solid for his liking.
"Great. Now I’m trapped. Perfect," he sighed dramatically, crossing his arms. "Hyung always said I’d get myself into trouble... I just didn’t think it’d happen this fast."
He started pacing, mumbling to himself, "I mean, seriously? A gangster? A hot gangster, but still... A gangster! And here I am, about to be interrogated or... worse."
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Jin froze mid-step, eyes widening as two figures stepped in: Ken and Ren. Jin groaned internally. Of course, it’s the goons...
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty," Ren said with a smirk, folding his arms as he leaned against the doorframe. "Have a nice nap?"
Jin glared at them, his sass instantly returning. "Oh, sure. It was just perfect. Thanks for asking. By the way, who do I speak to about the horrendous accommodations? No windows? Really?"
Ken chuckled, glancing at Ren. "He's got a mouth on him, doesn’t he?"
Ren shrugged. "Boss said to keep an eye on him. No harm in letting him whine for now."
Jin’s eyes narrowed at the mention of "boss." He straightened up, folding his arms defiantly. "Your boss is gonna hear from my lawyer... after I get out of here," he added under his breath, but loud enough for them to hear.
"Don't speak too much, pretty boy, or you won't like what's coming for you," Ren sneered, his eyes darkening as he took a step closer to Jin.
Jin's eyes widened, but his sass kicked in before his fear could take over. "Great! Don't you dare do anything to me!" He pointed an accusatory finger at Ren, his voice filled with exaggerated indignation. "I’m as innocent as a newborn, okay? Totally harmless. And if you so much as think about laying a finger on me, I swear my brother will hunt you down!"
Ken raised an eyebrow, exchanging an amused glance with Ren. "Your brother?" he asked, his tone mocking.
"That’s right," Jin huffed, puffing out his chest. "He doesn’t even let a fly get away with hurting me. Imagine what he’d do to you two goons!" Jin crossed his arms, looking rather pleased with himself. "He’ll kill you off without blinking. I mean, have you ever met a Kim Taehyung? Scary as hell."
At the mention of Kim Taehyung, Ren and Ken’s smug grins faltered slightly. They exchanged uneasy glances, clearly recognizing the name. Jin, noticing their reaction, couldn’t help but smirk a little. Got them.
"Wait... you’re Kim Taehyung’s brother?" Ken muttered, his earlier confidence fading as he eyed Jin more carefully.
Jin nodded, feeling triumphant. "Exactly! So, if you value your miserable lives, I suggest you let me go right now before he comes looking for me. And trust me, when he finds out you’ve messed with me, he’ll make sure you regret it." He grinned smugly, leaning in closer for dramatic effect. "He’s not exactly known for being... forgiving."
Ren took a step back, looking unsure now. "Boss didn’t mention anything about—"
"Shut up, Ren," Ken muttered, trying to maintain control of the situation. "We’ll deal with this later."
Jin’s confidence grew as he saw them wavering. "Yeah, you better think twice before doing anything stupid. My brother is not someone you want to mess with."
Ken gritted his teeth, clearly annoyed. "Just keep quiet, pretty boy. We’re not scared of anyone, even if your brother’s involved."
"Right," Jin said sarcastically, rolling his eyes, "You guys look totally calm right now."
Jin’s sass evaporated the second he heard footsteps approaching. His heart skipped a beat, and all the color drained from his face. The confident smirk that had been plastered on his lips was suddenly nowhere to be found. He didn’t need to turn around to know who it was.
The sound of heavy boots against the cold concrete floor announced the arrival of the main character in this terrifying drama. Jeon Jungkook—the hot yet dangerously ruthless gangster. Jin gulped, his bravado crumbling as he felt the dark presence draw nearer.
Ren and Ken immediately straightened up, their earlier unease transforming into disciplined tension. They stepped aside as Jungkook approached, giving him a clear path to where Jin stood frozen in place.
Jin slowly turned around, trying to calm the panic rising in his chest. He caught sight of Jungkook—tall, broad-shouldered, and every bit as terrifying as he remembered. His expression was cold and unreadable, and his sharp jawline looked like it could cut through steel. The cigarette between Jungkook’s lips glowed faintly as he took a puff, exhaling smoke that swirled around him like an ominous mist.
Jin’s mouth went dry. "Oh no…" he thought. "Here comes the main character."
Jungkook’s dark eyes locked onto Jin’s, and in that instant, it felt like the temperature in the room dropped several degrees. Jin’s nerves screamed at him to run, but his legs refused to move. Instead, all he could manage was a sheepish grin.
"H-Hey... so, uh... nice place you got here..." Jin stammered, his earlier confidence completely gone. His eyes darted from Jungkook to Ren and Ken, hoping for some kind of rescue, but of course, they offered none.
Jungkook said nothing as he slowly exhaled another cloud of smoke, his gaze never leaving Jin. His silence was somehow more intimidating than any threat Ren or Ken had thrown his way.
Jin could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he scrambled to think of something—anything—to get out of this situation. "I, uh... I was just passing by, you know? Totally didn’t mean to intrude. I didn’t even see anything! You know, with my eyes and all... because they were closed...?"
Jungkook finally spoke, his voice low and chilling. "You talk too much."
Jin gulped, his sheepish grin faltering. "R-Right... I’ll stop... talking." He awkwardly zipped his lips shut, trying to stay as small and unthreatening as possible under Jungkook’s intense stare.
The room was thick with tension, and Jin could feel the weight of Jungkook’s gaze pressing down on him. Why me? Jin mentally whined, as the dangerous gangster slowly took another step closer.
