Pokemon Red/Jade The Adventure Continues (Squeal to Wishes an amourshipping fan-fiction)

Old Ones Alike

     Ash and Serena sat on a bench by the prism tower watching as the cabs drove by. A red light flashed somewhere up on the tower, interrupting the usual pattern of lights. " what was that?" Serena mumbled. "Huh" ash had not seen the flash of red.
      "There was a flash of red light" Serena explained. "You should go check it out, and maybe talk to clement about it". "Ok..." Ash began to get up. He looked back, "I will be fine here" Serena said.
Ash walked up to the main doors, and they slid open. He walked into the elevator pressing the gym button. "How many badges do you have?" Clembots robotic voice asked. Ash produced his badge case and waved it by the scanner.
"You already have this badge" clembot said. Ash pulled out one badge from the case and waved it again. The elevator started to as send to the battle area.
     Ash saw clembot emotionlessly looking at him. "Ash" a familiar voice yelled. The tall women standing across the room pressed a button and clembot powered down.
     "Bonnie" Ash greeted her "when did you get so tall".  "I get that a lot" she grinned back at him. Bonnie must be much taller than clement and even Ash.
     "So what have you came here for?" Bonnie inquired. "I was just in town and wanted to see my old friends" Ash said.
     "Oh, we'll you are just in time" she said "clement is hosting a gathering of gym leaders and champions, given recent events you weren't going to be invited, but if you feel up to it?". "I would love to" Ash replied cheerily "can Serena come?". "We'll technically you can bring one guest, so yes she can come".
     Red walked into the forest, studying each Pokemon. An ekans slithered out of the bushes. Not you, Red checked it off his mental checklist.
He felt like he sensed a Pokemon near by, but it was well concealed. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he looked around him. "I choose you" he muttered to himself. "Come out!" He yelled, and from up above a riolu jumped behind him. You look strong, he thought. "Ri olu" the Pokemon said seeming to answer his thoughts.
He threw a pokeball, but riolu caught it, it walked over to him, then tapped the pokeball and a red beam of light sucked riolu in.
So you want to be caught on your own terms, Red thought, i like you already.
     All of the kids were battling with their newly caught Pokemon, jade was doing decent with her small but fast mudkip.
     "I bet it can beat the strongest of all of you on any day!" Red yelled. As if like magic the kids spread out leaving red facing an older boy.
     "You will eat those words" the boy grinned. In reply, red gestured to the battle arena.
     What has he gotten himself into this time? Jade thought, worrying for her brother.
