An Aarmau fanfiction: Camping

Chapter 3

Aph's POV:

I had woken up to the sound of birds chirping and firewood crackling. I looked over to my left and saw Aaron was missing. I opened up the tent and saw a fire going, but he wasn't anywhere in sight. It's okay Aphmau, he probably just went to get some firewood. On the other hand, you didn't wake up next to a bear. A plus in this case. I decided to walk down one of the forest trails for some peace and quiet before I looked for Aaron. Plus, I need this. It gets a little tiring hanging out with the girls all the time. Not to mention Dante, Travis, Zane and Garroth. They're all nice and I love spending time with them, but everyday? It just gets a little boring, you know? I looked up and saw someone.

"Aaron?"

Aaron's POV:

I woke up at the crack of dawn thanks to my sleep schedule. If only I didn't have a job... I quietly left the tent to let Aphmau sleep some more and started a fire. Once I got one started, I realized we needed more firewood. I decided to head down the trail to look for some, and hopefully be back before Aph wakes up. As I was walking I saw a little clearing. Curiosity got the best of me, so I went check it out. It was a beautiful lake, and with the sun just barely above the horizon, it somehow looked even more beautiful. Too bad Aph isn't here to see this, she would love it. And, it would be a good time to tell her how I feel...

"Aaron?"

I turn around to see Aphmau, who looks like she just woke up. Her hair's still a mess and she still looks sleepy.

"Hey Aph! Sleep well last night? No bears got you?"

She giggles at the last part

"No bears got me, and I slept well, still a little tired"

"I can tell"

"Hey! I'm not an early bird. I woke up to a fire crackling, birds chirping, and a missing you"

"A missing me?"

"Yes. You were gone when I woke up, so I decided I'd look for you after I got some relaxation time"

"And here I am! Looks like you found me without intending to"

"Mhm, and I'm glad I did. This place is beautiful!"

"Yeah, it is"

"Makes me wish there were things like this back home"

"Yeah, but there are even more beautiful things back home" I winked at her, earning a slight blush from her.

"A..Aaron!"

"What? It's true"

"Stop it your making me blush"

"Good. You're cute when you blush"

"You jerk"

She walked up and gave me a hug before turning around to watch the sunrise finish over the lake. As she did I put my arms around her waist. This is it. It's time...
