Chapter 4

Aph's POV:

As I turned to watch the sunrise Aaron wrapped him arms around me. I could feel his heartbeat with mine.

"H...Hey Aph? Can I....can I tell you something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well...and this might sound crazy and stupid. Please don't hate me by the end of it but lately I've...had feelings for you. Feelings as in more than friends. Every time I look at you I get butterflies and can't help but think about you all day long. You're smart, you're kind, you're strong, and you make me happy. So, I guess...what I'm trying to say is.... I love you Aph. More than anything."

At this point I was ready to die in happiness. I was speechless, and wanted to cry.

"A..Aaron"

"You don't have to feel the same way, I just wanted to tell you how I fel-"

I pressed my finger against his lips to silence him.

"Aaron, I've always loved you, you know that. You are my everything. You're my light in my darkness, you make me smile more than anyone has and you're always there for me when I need you. I know it's been a while since we've hung out, even talked at the least, but my feelings never changed. I love you Aaron. And I'm sorry for not spending time with you"

"You have nothing to be sorry for Aph. We both messed up"

"I..I know but I feel like I could've made more time for you and I would've if I had thought about it sooner"

"Shh, it's okay"

Our lips were now only inches apart. OH MY IRENE IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?!

Aaron's POV:

As I poured out my feelings for her, she poured out hers to me. Our lips were now just inches apart. Should I? What if she doesn't like it? What if- my thoughts were cut off when Aphmau sealed the gap between us, slowly leaning in to deepen the kiss. I didn't hesitate, I've been waiting for this moment. We pulled away to catch our breath when our eyes met. Her eyes, amber with golden flecks from the sunrise. Beautiful and easy to get lost in. Everything feels right. Complete.

"I..I've been waiting to do that for a while. Sorry i..if it caught you off guard Aaron"

"It's okay, can't say I didn't feel the same"

We hugged and held onto each other for what felt like forever. I never want this moment to end.
