The room was filled with warm morning sunlight streaming through pale curtains. Ale's alarm buzzed, but she didn’t need it—she was already awake, smiling as she stared at the ceiling.

Her mother’s voice called out from the kitchen.

MOTHER: Ale! Don’t forget to pick up your dad’s suit from the dry cleaners on your way to school!

ALE (groans): Yeah, sure, Mom!

MOTHER: You’re not going to be late again, are you?

ALE (smirking): No promises.

She hurried out the door, grabbing her backpack.
As she walked to school, her steps slowed when she spotted a young boy standing by the curb, frozen. She followed his gaze to the tiny body of a kitten, still and silent in the road. The sight made her chest tighten.

Ale approached carefully.

ALE: Hey, it’s okay... just take a deep breath.

The kid looked at her, tears brimming in his eyes.

BOY: “But… it’s so sad…”

Ale knelt down beside him, her voice soft and low

ALE: I know. Let’s move the little one off the road, okay?

She gently lifted the kitten and placed it in a nearby bush, whispering a quiet goodbye. Turning back to the kid, she saw tears streaming down his face.

ALE: You don’t have to remember this. How about we let this memory go?

The kid looked up, his sadness turning to a soft confusion. Ale put her hand gently on his shoulder, focusing as a gentle glow surrounded her hand.

And as if the moment had never happened, the memory of it slipped away from his mind, leaving just a quiet peace.
