Nunew's in a panic.
His wedding ring is missing.

He has already turned his office inside out, went back to the wards, asked the staff even the cleaners if they had seen it but no one has seen his precious ring.

It's way past lunch time and he skipped having his meal in the hopes that he would somehow find it. He avoided his husband's invitation to have lunch together by saying that he's busy. Well, he is busy. Busy finding the ring that Zee has given him on their wedding day.

"Hia's gonna be so mad"
Nunew said as he pulls his hair up. Zee has been telling him to put it in a necklace like what he's been doing but Nunew is so stubborn and wouldnt listen.

He likes having the ring around his finger. He loves feeling it there as if it's a constant reminder that Zee's always with him. He fiddles with it when he's anxious, he touches it when he's happy and it grounds him when he's angry. And now that he faces the possibility that he may have lost it is making Nunew panic.

He was about to lose his shit and cry when he heard his name being called through the hospital intercom

"Paging Dr. Panich to ER. Paging Dr. Panich to ER"

"Shit"
Nunew mumbled as he rubs his hand in his face.

He wore his white coat and flattened down his hair so he looks like he's not losing his marbles. He let out a deep sigh before going out of the door, his fingers reaching for his left ring finger trying to feel the thick gold band that's not there.

Nunew entered the automatic double doors of the ER. He proceeded to go straight to the nurse's station where he saw Zee focused on writing some notes down with the new female nurse, Mandy, standing too close to him for Nunew's liking.

Nunew's been observing the woman since she set foot inside Zee's kingdom. He can see the way she looks at Zee as if she wants to rip his clothes off. He raises his eyebrows whenever he sees Mandy wearing scrubs that are one size smaller when Zee's on shift. But since he trust his husband and his professionalism and Nunew can see how he is the one putting the distance between him and her, he never said anything.

It's kind of weird that nobody ever told Mandy about him and Zee. Maybe because their coworkers are professional enough to know not to gossip about them. Or maybe because their little shits who want to watch what Nunew would do next. It wouldnt even surprise him if their friends already has a betting pool going on knowing them but that's their friends for him. Or maybe she's just dumb enough not to connect why their surnames are the same, its a dead give away that her pea sized brain doesnt seem to comprehend. Either way, nobody told the newbie that the boss that she's trying to flirt with is married to the Head of Cardiology, Nunew. The one who's dubbed as the angel who fixes hearts but is now having his patience stretched thin.

"You called for me?"
Nunew raised an eyebrow at Zee as he crosses his arm.

Zee looked up and saw Nunew's hair.

"Did you just woke up?"
Zee raised an eyebrow too as he tries to tease him

"Dont start with me Panich."
Nunew suddenly bite back, the edge of his tone very much evident as he speaks making the others step away from him. Mandy just looked between Nunew and Zee but didnt made any effort to move away from Zee's side

Zee's eyebrows frowned but didnt say anything back to Nunew. He took the chart of the patient that needs a review and handed it to him.

"Resus bay 2. Laurie is there. She'll give you a run through"
Zee said after stepping towards his husband.

Nunew was about to walk away when he felt Zee hold his upper up making him look at his face. Zee has a questioning look as if he's trying to ask if Nunew's okay. Nunew just nodded and tapped his hand before walking to where his patient is leaving Zee slightly concerned.
