Zee is in the UK for a nursing conference. St, Raphael sent him as a representative of the hospital and aslo to do some benchmarking. He really didnt really want to go but he didnt have any choice as the medical director of the hospital personally talked to him. He has been sitting through th conference for 3 days now and today is the last day. He should be in the socializing night but he is sitting in a pub instead having a beer as he watch the patrons cheer for the football game that is currently playing at the masive screen inside the pub.
At the corner of his eye, he suddenly see a man clutch his chest with a scared look on his face. Zee looked at him and immediately stood up when he saw the man fall down the ground. Almost immediately, a young man in a nice button up shirt ran towards the man and started shaking him. Zee went towards them as well and assessed the situation.
"Im a nurse, can i help?"
Zee asked in english. Good thing he paid attention to his english classes before. He glanced at his watch.
6:30pm
Zee noted in his head
The man looked up at him and Zee saw the most beautiful eyes he has ever seen.
"Thanks, im Nunew, a doctor. Can you stabilize the airway? I cant find a pulse I will need to start the CPR now"
The man said to him. Zee nodded and went towards the old man's head. He tilted it and secure the patent airway.
"Somebody call 999 and get me the nearest AED"
He then said to all the onlookers.
"Sorry I didnt catch your name"
Nunew asked him as he starts the chest compressions
"Im Zee"
Zee answered him politely. Suddenly an old woman then started to scream.
"Malcolm?"
The woman shouted making all of them look at her
"Are you related to him ma'am?"
Zee asked
"Yes, Im his wife. What is happening?! Is he okay?"
The woman asked.
"He collapsed a moment ago and we are trying our best to help him. Please have a seat somewhere, the ambulance is on its way"
Zee calmly told her
"Does he have any heart problems?"
Zee continue to ask as Nunew continue doing chest compressions.
"He only has blood pressure tablets and those things for his cholesterol. Aside from that he is fit and well. Please tell me he's gonna be okay"
The woman told Zee.
Somebody then came running towards them with the AED in hand.
"AED is here, apparently no other problems aside from hypertension and high cholesterol"
Zee said to the other man as they rip off the older man's shirt
"Sounds like a spontaneous cardiac arrest. Alright, lets see"
Nunew said as they connect Malcolm to the AED.
The AED analyzes the rhythm and determined that the patient definitely needs a shock.
Shock advised, stand clear
Zee then looked around before shouting.
"All of you step back please!"
Zee shouted.
Nunew then stopped the compressions and stepped away.
