✯Delilah had returned to John B's house after freshing up. She hasn't seen her father neither her brother before leaving but her mother said that she didn't expect them to return before 6pm.
The pogues didn't have much to do, everyone on the island was preparing for the hurricane to hit in just few hours so throwing a party, like usual, didn't come in question.
"who the hell even comes up with the names for the hurricanes?", JJ called out as they were all now sat inside John B's house due to the rain.
"JJ, what?", John B was now facing him as he flicked the lid of his beer bottle.
"come on dude, you never wonder where they got agatha from?"
"agatha sounds like either an older lady or single mother to me", the youngest girl shrugged, high fiving the blonde who had stuck out his hand to her.
"all i'm thinking about right now is how this old hut will hold on during the hurricane", john b called out, referring to his older house.
"me, personally, i wouldn't stay here throughout the hurricane", delilah called out.
"easy for you to say when you've got a massive ass mansion just around the corner", the blonde remarked.
"no offense John B, but it'll be a miracle if it actually holds on", kie was now scanning the room with her eyes.
"nah we got this", the older boy called out, almost as if he was trying to motivate himself as he hit his hand on the wooden wall.
All of them were suddenly startled by the sound of a loud lightning coming from the outside and that was Delilah's sign to make her way back home.
"guys i've got to go", she stated as she stared out of the window as the rain grew stronger. "i won't be able to return home otherwise."
"i wouldn't mind", the blonde remarked, gaining a slap on his arm from the brunette who was now standing over him.
"i've got to go too", the other girl was now standing up too and so was john b.
"i'm gonna bring them home", he called out before grabbing the keys to the twinkie before heading towards the door.
Kiara followed after the boy, leaving her best friend behind with pope and JJ who was now standing up and pretending to hug her at which she only rolled her eyes playfully, eventually returning the gesture and letting him hug her.
"don't die out there", she called out towards the blonde boy who only waved off her words with a grin in response.
"hey- so i'm like, still here, you know", the dark skinned boy suddenly called out from where he had been sitting covered by JJ's silhouette.
"you don't die too", she called out to him, throwing finger guns at him. He looked at her with a frown on his face but eventually returned the gesture before she was finally out of the house.

The ride back home felt faster to her than ever. Maybe it was the raindrops distracting her or the thought of a literal hurricane coming straight at them.
Her friends were the last people she would worry about, they'd take it like a champ anyways, but she was more worried about the poor older ladies that she used to help back then.
Eugenia and Cindy were their names. They're sisters who used to babysit Delilah when she was a child and once she grew up to the perfect age,
she decided to return the favor in helping them with cleaning or the groceries.Sometimes 'returning the favor' would mean quality time. The ladies never got to have kids, leaving them pretty much just to themselves, so having someone like Delilah, who they've known for a longer time, meant the world to them.
Now the rain was growing even stronger than before and the wind gusts were reaching their maximum speed when she got dropped off at her house. She couldn't do anything but wait until tomorrow morning to head straight down the street to check on the two ladies.
Delilah opened the front door, using her key and headed inside where eberyone usually kicked their shoes off. But this time was different. She didn't see her fathers and diego's shoes.
She tiptoed all the way into the living room, just in case if her mother would be asleep but to her surprise she wasn't.
There was a hurricane coming, of course she wouldn't be sleeping.
"oh, you arrived just on time", the older woman shot up from the couch, from where she had a perfect overview of what was going on outside.
"is everything good? wheres diego and dad?"
"they haven't returned yet."
What?
"what do you mean they haven't returned yet?", the girl questioned, in a higher tone than usual, yet not yelling.
"they have not returned yet, i don't know!", the older woman was now biting on her nails. "maybe they took shelter somewhere as the storm hit them on the way home."
"they haven't tried contacting you?"
"power is going out all around the island", agnes replied.
"we've got to find them, what if diego is in trouble?", delilah was now going crazy.
"we can't go out there now", the older lady was now sitting again. "we've got to wait this out, we've got to be home in case they return."
Her mother was right. What if they suddenly returned and no one would be home to open the door for them? What if they'd go missing aswell?
"i'm going upstairs, tell me once you know something", she stated before heading to her room.

dad and diego's gone missing in the stormDelilah sent a message out to JJ, telling him about what happened just in case he'd be walking around somewhere and actually spotted these two. It wasn't most likely for someone to leave in those conditions but she knew him.
And the second she sent it to him, he was quick to call her. He was actually willing to go and look for them but she refused to let him, not in these conditions.
The two stayed on call for about two hours as she still hoped that they'd return but as it only got darker and they were still not returning, she just decided that she'd try to fall asleep and hope for the best.
