She grabbed her jacket before leaving Darius's house.

She closed his front door behind her, preparing to walk home in the cold.

She didn't drive here, and couldn't be bothered to pay for a ride home. She didn't want to be hit on by a creep twice her age.

She looked up at the sky, holding her hand, imagining a time when someone would hold it for her when she suddenly heard her name.

"Eda."

She turned around, face to face with Raine as they rushed over to her.

She was shocked, she never expected her Ex to be chasing after her when she wasn't even running away from them.

"Eda, wait for a second" they pleaded, finally standing in front of her.

She stood Apprehensively.  As if she were preparing for the worst possible scenario to happen.

"C-can I take you to dinner?" They blurted out, watching as her beautiful gold eyes widened.

"What.. " she asked in shock her cheeks beginning to heat up to a pinkish color.

Raine cleared their throat. "Will you..." They sighed. "Come to my place this weekend for dinner?"   They asked, wanting to reach out to her.

She could hardly believe what she was hearing. Her Ex asking her on a date, though the last few dates she's been on weren't so great

"Like a date?.." She asked nervously, hiding her hands behind her back.

Raine looked down, then back at the gorgeous woman in front of them. "Would.. That dictate your answer?"

They asked, only to see her smile afterward.

It was like they were dumb teenagers again, being nervous to make moves on each other. Though Eda was always a little more forward in that regard.

"I dunno, maybe.." She muttered impatiently. Waiting for them to make the first move.

"Well, then yes" they replied, starting to feel heat rise to their cheeks as well.

"Saturday, say 8 pm?" They asked, watching as she smiled wider

"Sure... Il uh, see you then"  Eda replied, before turning on her heel to walk away.

Her smile wouldn't disappear that evening.
