As I sat in the lecture hall, the professor's voice droned on, but my mind was a whirlwind of anxiety. Today was the day of the semi-final results, and the thought of it made my stomach churn. I had prepared as best as I could, but the uncertainty of whether I would come in first or face the consequences of not meeting expectations loomed over me like a dark cloud. I could feel the familiar signs of anxiety creeping in-my fingers fidgeted restlessly, and beads of sweat began to form on my palms.

Once the lecture concluded, I gathered my things, my heart racing as I made my way toward the hospital. I put in my earpods, hoping the music would drown out my racing thoughts and distract me from the impending results. I had prepared for the viva a week in advance, so that part didn't worry me as much. But the thought of the results was suffocating.

As I walked inside the alley, lost in my thoughts, I suddenly collided with someone. The impact knocked my earpods from my ears, and as I bent down to retrieve them, I felt a sharp crunch beneath my fingers. I looked up to see a tall, handsome figure with a cold demeanor, who had just stamped on my earpods without a hint of remorse.

"Oye! Andhe ho kya?(Are you blind?) You just broke my earpods! Don't you think you should apologize!?" I exclaimed, my frustration bubbling over.

He looks at me with a cold, unyielding gaze and replies coldly, "Oh, how tragic. Your precious earpods are broken. How will you ever survive?"

I exclaimed, "Hey, that's not funny! You should apologize!"

He scoffs, "Apologize? Ha! You're the one who should be apologizing for being so careless."

I sarcastically answered, "I was walking perfectly fine until you came barreling around the corner! You're the one who's being careless!"

He rolls his eyes and says, "Spare me the drama. You're just mad because you're not used to people not catering to your every whim."

I exclaimed, "That's not true! I'm just mad because you're being a jerk!"

He smirks and says, "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots. Do you think I care about your opinion?"

I sarcastically said, "You should! I'm the one who's going to report you for being a public menace!"

He shot back with a sarcastic tone, "Was that a joke?"

"Hmmm," I replied, trying to keep my composure.

"Well, I don't like jokes," he said, his expression unyielding.

"And I don't like you," I retorted, feeling a mix of irritation and an inexplicable flutter in my chest.

He raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Well, that's mutual then. But you should really watch where you're going, little kiddo!"

"Excuse me?" I shot back, my annoyance flaring. "I'm not the one who is a kid!"

He smirked, "At least I'm not the one who's about to cry over a pair of broken earpods."

"Better to cry over earpods than to be a walking sarcasm machine," I quipped, crossing my arms defiantly.

He rolled his eyes, clearly done with our exchange, and walked away.
