TW: SH, Slight mention of blood

-Autumn has always struggled with depression since she was a kid, she just never knew how to talk to someone about it. She felt like if she did, she was a burden to them, it wasn't until she met Marjorie. With Marjorie Autumn felt like she could talk to the older women about anything, but she never said anything because she wasn't sure how Marjorie would feel. -

-One day Autumn and Marjorie were sitting in the office, Autumn was known to be quite so when she was struggling mentally no one questioned it. It wasn't until today, she had been struggling way more than normal the past week, her thoughts were overpowering her. It seemed like her mind wouldn't stop racing with thoughts, bad, good, old memories, literally anything you could think of Autumn thought. It was more bad thoughts then good, she couldn't handle it anymore, so she got up and ran to the restroom. Marjorie saw this and went after her best friend, Autumn had told her that she struggled with depression but didn't know how bad it really was until now. She got worried. -

"Autumn?" Marjorie called out when she entered the restroom

-Autumn didn't say anything she just stayed in the stall trying so hard not to let her thoughts win. She has been clean for 2 months now, she can't let her thoughts win now after so long. She just needed to feel some short of relief... She took out a razor blade she had been holding on to, she put it to her arm and 4 deep cuts later. She started bleeding, so she quickly took tissue and held it to her arm, so the bleeding slows down. -

"Autumn, what's going on?" Marjorie said calmly

"I'm fine Marjorie. I'll be back in the office shortly I just need a second." Autumn said trying to hold back her tears, so she doesn't worry her best friend even more.

"Okay, well if you need anything, you know I'm always here. I don't want to see you hurt." Marjorie said before leaving Autumn alone.

"Oh, if only I had the strength to actually talk to her... I want someone to talk too about how I'm feeling. I just don't want to feel like a burden to her." Autumn thought to herself.

-Autumn calms down enough where she starts to head to the office. Luckly for her it was getting close for the Nursery to close. Meaning she gets to go home soon. -

-When Autumn enters the office, she sees Marjorie focused on her computer doing paperwork. She just goes to sit down trying not to get unwanted attention. She goes to sit down at her laptop. -

.....

-It's now 6:30 and it's just Marjorie and Autumn in the office alone. Autumn wanted to speak up about how bad her depression has gotten lately. -

"Marjorie?" Autumn said just above a whisper.

"Yes, my love?" Marjorie said looking at Autumn

-Marjorie has never seen Autumn look so small before. She always has a brave face on. -

"I need to talk to you." Autumn said still sounding small

"Okay, I'm all ears." Marjorie said walking over to the younger brunette.

"Um, I- I been struggling a lot recently. Mentally, Marjorie I don't know what to do." Autumn said tears streaming down her face.

"Oh, Autumn. It's okay, everyone struggles. I'm here okay, I'm not going anywhere." Marjorie said looking at Autumn with worry.

"I know, it just gets hard talking to someone about it sometimes. With you though I feel safe, I feel like I can talk to you about anything. Thank you for being not only my boss but my best friend I don't know what I would with you to be honest." Autumn said looking back at her best friend

"Autumn, don't you worry. I'm always going to be here for you. You are my best friend I'm glad you feel safe to talk to me. I feel the same way."

"Thank you, Marjorie; there's something else you should know." Autumn said looking down

"What's up my love." Marjorie said slightly worried

"Earlier today in the bathroom...... I- uh..." Autumn couldn't finish she just rolled up her sleeve where she self-harmed.

-Marjorie looked down, worry completely taking over her face. -

"Autumn, I'm so sorry."

-Marjorie took Autumn's arm in her hands and started to place gentle kisses to her scars. Autumn blushed slightly, she never had anyone care about her so much. -

"Better?" Marjorie said looking at Autumn and smiled softly

"Yes, thank you." Autumn said calmly

"Always my love." Marjorie smiled
