3rd POV
"Looks like the end. So then, are you satisfied, Rias Gremory?" Xenovia inquires, reaching to pick her cloak off the ground.
"Who cares if she's satisfied? I'm definitely not, that fight was just disappointing. I expected more from you, Kiba." Y/n's words hung in the air, a hint of irritation lacing his tone. Xenovia shot him a glare, her hands clenching into fists at her sides.
"And you are? Another devil I presume, what makes you think a battle between us wouldn't produce the same result?" Xenovia narrowed her eyes at Y/n, her body tensing in preparation. "You devils always underestimate us," she said, her voice laced with disdain. "But I wouldn't mind teaching you a lesson in humility if that's what you're after."
He stepped forward, his stance relaxed yet brimming with arrogance. "Humility?" He scoffed, a smirk covering his face. "You and I both know these goofs are no real challenge. If you think you can handle me, I'd be happy to show you what real power looks like."
Xenovia's expression darkened, a flicker of anger igniting in her eyes. "You think you're so clever, don't you? Just because you've faced a few weaker opponents doesn't mean you can take on anyone in the Church. I've trained my whole life for this, and I won't be intimidated by a devil's bravado."
Y/n smirked, "Put your money where is and beat me then. Your teammate can even help you."
(Antagonize Successful!)
Y/n smirked, leaning back slightly as her sword whizzed past his face, the blade slicing through the air with a sharp whoosh. He barely flinched, a testament to his confidence, as he straightened up to face Xenovia again. "You really need to work on your aim," he teased, the playful arrogance in his voice cutting through the tension.
Xenovia narrowed her eyes, determination etched on her face. "Don't underestimate me, Y/n. I'll show you what it means to face a true warrior." She shifted her grip on the sword, ready to strike again.
Rias stepped in, her voice firm yet cautionary. "Y/n, if you really are a devil you should know Holy Swords are nothing to play with."
"My devilhood doesn't work the same way yours does, I'm not as weak to holy magic." Y/n looked at her in annoyance.
With a fierce battle cry, Xenovia lunged forward, swinging her sword in a wide arc aimed directly at Y/n's torso.
But Y/n was ready. He sidestepped gracefully, the blade slicing through the air where he had stood just a moment before. He quickly pivoted, aiming a swift kick at her midsection, but Xenovia was faster. She blocked his kick with her sword, the metal clashing against his leg with a resounding thud.
"You're faster than I thought you'd be," Y/n acknowledged, his eyes glinting with excitement. "I do wonder how much damage a Holy Sword would do to me."
Y/n pushed off the blade, using the momentum to flip backward and dodge Irina's slash. Y/n landed nimbly on his feet, his expression unfazed as he faced both Xenovia and Irina.
"Oh wow, a nice combo of speed and power. Then let's see, I'll use my Mengekyō." Y/n said excitedly as his eyes began to change.
"What the heck that?" Issei, sitting on the ground questioned.
"To put it bluntly, it's eye magic." Naomi spoke, appearing out of thin air. "And he's just looking for an excuse to use it."
"Eye magic? How does it work?" Rias raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know of any kind of eye magic." Akeno stated as she finished restoring Aisa and Koneko's clothes.
Naomi crossed her arms, observing the growing tension in the air with a hint of amusement. "It's a unique technique that allows us to predict movements via the tensing of muscles, it also allows us to use illusion magic through our eyes among other things as it evolves."
