A buzz came from your phone as you trailed down the concrete pathway on your way to school. It was a pleasantly warm morning, it was still a bit windy but, Spring was finally arriving, you were glad for that; Winter wasn't your favourite season of the four.
You reached into your pocket to retrieve your phone, checking the lock screen for any messages or notifications. A single text had appeared, incased in the usual grey-white bubble. It was from Denki, whose display name you had eventually changed to Sparks.
Sparks: Heyyy, Mina's hosting a party this Friday, I was wondering if u would like to join me? I can pick u up if u want?
Wait, you thought, going to a party? With Denki?
You were a bit taken aback, was this sort of like him asking you on a date? You weren't sure, you had never done anything like this before. The only times you had been to a party before was when your mom was invited to a wedding or something, and you'd just sit in the corner, patting the family cat or dog. But a party held by a teenager? An extravagant teenager at that, in fact, you just knew that this party was going to be an all-out event, knowing Mina. You didn't even know what to wear to a party! What were you going to say? You couldn't just leave him o read.
You could feel your fingers slightly tremble from your nerves as you unlocked your phone and typed in a reply.
You: Yeah, sounds great What time? You were growing even more anxious with every second. It's okay, you tried to calm yourself down, you always hang out with Denki on Fridays anyway, this is exactly the same.
Except with hoards of people around that are possibly watching your every move. Especially if any people from the lower classes are there - which is obviously inevitable. They would go to the lengths of stoning you to death for attending a party with a student from class 1-A.
Sparks: Party starts at 8:00 so I'll pick u up then? You let out the breath that you'd been holding in while you were waiting for a reply. You were actually really... excited.
